Both PV and Sanju were superhit/Blockbuster films in theater so most people have already seen them on the big screen. Both are lengthy, serious movies which are better enjoyed on big screen while comedies and masala entertainers are more enjoyable on small screen.
Nobody watched YPD3 on big screen hence it got more TV viewers than PV and Sanju

well you said nobody gives two shits about it.
I just told you about people who give two shits.
And there are still a large numbers of people who wait for their fab's movie to air in tele, as not many can afford cinema whether due to money or time or convenience.

I think it also has to do with the fanbase, Deols will have a larger television fanbase as most of the television watching people are middle aged and old people. These people will not to theaters, but when on television, they will watch.

Raazi's TRP was disappointing. First it came on Zee Cinema HD on Saturday night and then on Zee TV next day. Dhadhak's TRP is surprising.

Who watches films on TV anymore? Most people I know watch them in theaters or through online pirated copies. Who has the patience to watch to watch a 2.5 hr movie in almost 5 hrs with 100 ad breaks

Yes, Deols have a huge fan following in the North (Punjab, Haryana) but their fans wont spend money on their crappy films in theater but they will watch it for free on TV 😆

well Bahubaali, Golmaal 4, Baghi 2 and Judwaa 2 had huge footprints in recent times, so it's not like people don't watch on tv.

Lower middle class, small town and rural viewers, elderly people who dont always have access or knowhow to download movies, they still watch movies on TV.
Are their viewership counted in these TV ratings system?
