But yes I do agree that SLB's movies are not well suited for TV nor do they age that well, being a Deepveer fan I can watch their films repeatedly but that does not apply to neutrals.

Yes time lapse also play a key role, didn't understood why they took so much time to release it.
Should have released much earlier.
And yup movies of SLB don't age well, excluding the Hum Dil and Devdas, which had more to do with the Khans and the actress.

I think audience group also play a part.
Most of the tv audience are small town youth and elder ones of all regions.
And for these people they will only watch movies of actors they are fan off.
And we all know that Ranveer and Ranbir have struggled to find dominant male fans in that area, the small town.
While the likes of Varun and Tiger have gained huge following, hence their movies even Faklundu like MTH, Flying Jatt, Judwa 2 and Baghi1 have found television audience.
I struggle to remember one movie of both Ranbir and Ranveer which airs regularly in television.
Only APKJK is the one I remember.

I paid for Sanju, Sonu ke Titu ki sweety and Padmavat in the theatres. Have Netflix and a Prime subscription. Haven't used my dish connection in months. Only use the tv for streaming. Have seen Sanju on Netflix once.

Also, Dhadak and YPD more closely resemble the nonsense Balaji tv shows and Tarak Mehta type comedies people watch on TV😛
