I'd love to see KJo's reaction. He threw a hissy fit when Twinkle said the same thing and complained about how "hurted" he was that his friends would say this. You don't get so defensive and offended unless it's true. Alia herself can hardly stand to hear the "N" word and just wants everyone to shut up.

Nepotism always existed in the industry -- it's not new. Everyone always looks out for their own. Not surprising or something unheard of. People have lost out and been affected by it before as well while others have had careers for years because of nepotism, like Saif, Abhishek, etc. But it only really became the topic of discussion it did after KJo launched Alia, Varun, Sid..simply because KJo's brand of nepotism is one step more. Dangling your power, money, and PH support in lieu of signing your favorites is more than others do tbh and it's but natural that people will comment on that. Look at YRF for example, they launch a lot of people. Does Aditya Chopra call up everyone to sign Vaani or Arjun or Parineeti or Ranveer in exchange for producing the film? No because they have to find their own way and be worth it. Guidance is one thing..what KJo does is another. Nobody says he's obligated to help others. But there's no need to get other people thrown out of films for his favorites either. Then people say Alia's competition is lazy..well when their leftovers are the Golamals and Housefulls, then what can you say... Personally, I think it's a pity that Alia will never get full credit for her career ...but neither does she seem interested in changing the narrative.
