What's the difference between Indian and Indian nationalist? The guy used a fake name so they thought he was Pakistani but turned out to be an Indian trying to get revenge. He was taken down by 2 Indians in the FBI.
Anyways people in India have decided to freak out about this now after a failed boycott of Veere Di Wedding. In a couple days it will be something else. No point taking fictional shows/movies so seriously.
Oh just shut up about VDW. Apples and oranges. You have never ever been objective about PC just blindly support her.
What matters here is "Indian Nationalists" have never been implicated in any terrorist activity in RL. Ever. Fiction depicts RL. Indians in USA have always been associated as an educated, hard working community.
The climate here is that racists who were hidden before are now bold enough to show their true colors. Some days ago some lawyer in Manhattan was shouting because people were speaking Spanish in a Taco shop and they should speak in English and decided they were illegal immigrants and threatened to call deportation agencies on them. The lawyer of course was shamed on social media and had his ass handed to him. But incidents like that were far and few before.
This has always been a country where immigrants were and are proud to speak their language in public. Racism was always there but not so in your face. In that environment, a peaceful community is being portrayed in a negative way by an Indian actress who is the face of the show just because she is desperate and wants to fit in USA. PC deserves everything she gets stupid, greedy cow. It matters because fiction can alter perception. If you don't think fiction can cause havoc look up "Basketball diaries".
