I love the Munimji song you posted too - Nain khoye khoye. I'm not sure what dance form "Nain so nain" is - some mix of Indian traditional dances I guess. Gopi Krishna was a renowned Kathak dancer, so some moves are definitely Kathak based.
Salil Chowdhury experimented with a lot of European music - classical and folk. "Woh ek nigaah kya mili" has those influences for sure.
I haven't watched 'Shola aur Shabnam', but from what i know, the leads are bachpan ke bichde huye saathis who rediscover their love for each other when grown up, but the guy being ultra poor decides to give up his love so she can have a better life with his friend and employer.

Yep, Wiki informs me that she is indeed Dina Pathak's sister. They had another sister, Shanta. Their maiden name was Gandhi.

I dont get why hero in Hindi film songs always sings that the heroine has Gulabi eyes? 😕

Is the heroine drunk that she would have gulabi/ pink eyes or does she have conjunctivitis? 😆

Good question 😆 I'd read kinda similar question on twitter few days ago and reply was hilarious.. Someone replied ' You got it right its conjuctivitis and its contagious.. lyrics will make sense now' 😆😆

😆 So I wasnt the only one wondering all these years why the heroine is said to have gulabi eyes 😆

Its conjunctivitis caused by love and its contagious like Love 😆

But Pallavi, I always took 'gulabi' as rose... i think it is about the entire eye... like the eyelids, that can make one's eyes look so ...I'm not able find an appropriate word, but can be compared to petals... 😃 I can see or understand the comparison :p

Like rose shaped eyes? But arent eyes shaped like fish ...like some girls are named Meenakshi as in fish eyed...Meen (fish) akshi (eyes)

Maybe heroine has pink eyeshadow... or better yet hes saying her eyes are as beautiful as roses? 😛
