That's a pretty good speech. Short and sweet and to the point. If she managed to beat depression and face her demons and now able to talk about them then I say good for her.

There are many things that I dislike about DP, but the one thing I have always admired about her is how consistently she has stuck to raising awareness for depression and mental health in general. So many celebrities will stand up for social issues either for the purposes of promoting a film or trying to cover up things, and often times the cause changes after a few months and there is no consistency of follow through

But DP and her determination to make people more aware about mental illness, tackle the stigma around it as well as talk about her own personal experience with it is something I truly admire. She didn't change what she is passionate about based on the day of the week.

Loved her speech and it truly seemed heartfelt.

A depression patient remembering the date precisely when he/she starts feeling depressed.. 😕
Its strange 🤔
Patients generally dont remember a particular day when they start feeling depressed or different. Its a chronic and insidious problem 😳

Deepika is beautiful inside out. She is an inspiration to those around her. I'm so happy she took up an issue and worked upon it to actually make a difference. Its not easy to battle depression. Not only did she overcome it, she is working relentlessly for the cause. Queen in the true sense. ⭐️

I don't think that is what she's saying exactly. She simply said she woke up feeling pittish and life was meaningless, maybe that happened to be the day she truly realized something was wrong and decided she needed help. It is chronic and insidious, but like many diseases, if one day is particularly worse, you may remember it.

And feb 15th is the day after Valentines day, a relatively easy day to remember. Something about that day could have triggered it.

Deepika's speech has left me speechless. Her inner beauty shines through, overpowering her outer beauty. She is reaching new heights everyday while still retaining her simplicity.
Her Parents must be so proud of their darling daughter. She has overcome a terrible disease and has risen as a winner. Her work towards creating awareness is praiseworthy. She deserves every laurels and accolades that come her way. Shine On My Angel.

I personally Loved the speech. And she deserves every bit of those accolades. I'm glad that she has taken charge by beginning the LLL foundation and the idea of spreading awareness so seriously. I really do hope people look at depression differently now and not synonymous to mental, crazy, psychic. Awareness about depression is very much required, globally. Proud to be her fan!

Thanks for sharing!
