Raid box office collection Day 4 : Raid Rs 50-crore mark!!!

Ajay Devgn's Raid is unstoppable at the box office. The crime thriller, which has received a thumbs up from critics as well as fans, is casting its spell at the ticket window with each passing day.

Raid, which opened at Rs 10.04 crore on Friday, is all set to enter the Rs 50-crore club. After collecting Rs 41.25 crore in its opening weekend, Raid collected Rs 6 crore on Monday, thus taking the total to Rs 47.25 crore.

Ajay plays a badass income tax officer who is ready to take on the 'powerful corrupt' in Raj Kumar Gupta's Raid.

Going by the numbers, Raid is said to cross the Rs 50-crore mark very soon.

Here is the complete day by day box-office collection of Raid:

Day 1 (16th March, Friday) - Rs 10.04 crore

Day 2 (17th March, Saturday) - Rs 13.86 crore

Day 3 (18th March, Sunday) - Rs 17.35 crore

Day 4 (19th March, Monday) - Rs 6 crore

Total four-day box-office collection of Raid: Rs 47.25 crore

After his last outing Golmaal Again, Ajay has once again been able to draw crowds to theatres. While people are impressed with the gripping thriller, they're also blown over by Ajay and Ileana's sizzling chemistry. This is the duo's second collaboration after Baadshaho.

Baadshaho, which also stars Saurabh Shukla, hit the screens on March 16.

Raid has emerged as yet another success story this season. 2018 has been good so far in terms of films attracting audiences and now Raid has joined the list. The film collected 6 crore* more on Monday and this is fine considering the Friday collections of 10.04 crore.

Currently standing around 47 crore*, the film is now set to have the first week of over 60 crore which would bring it well into the profitable zone. It was pretty much the need of the hour for the Ajay Devgn starrer to drop less than 50% on Monday so that it can have a healthy lifetime ahead. This was on the cards as well if one looks at the trending that the Raj Kumar Gupta directed film enjoyed over the weekend.

Yes, had the collections been closer to the 7 crore mark, it would have been all the more exciting for all associated with the film as that would have assured a 100 crore run for Raid. However, all said and done, Raid is still a success story and now it would be interesting to see where does it land up once the second-weekend kickstarts.

The film is now another back to back success for Ajay Devgn after Golmaal Again and with a couple of more films lined up for the superstar in 2018, it is going to be an engaging year for him for sure.
