Raid box office collection day 20: Ajay Devgn and Ileana D'Cruz's film continues to stay stable, earns Rs 99.11 crore

Raid is all set to become fourth Rs 100 crore film of 2018 after Padmaavat, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Baaghi 2

Ajay Devgn and Ileana D'Cruz starrer Raid continues its stable run in its third week at the box office. Despite facing stiff competition from Baaghi 2 and Hichki, the period crime thriller survived well at the ticket windows. Raid raked in Rs 60 lakhs yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 99.11 crore. The film is expected to enter the Rs 100 crore club by Friday at the box office. It'll be the fourth film to achieve this feat this year after Padmaavat, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Baaghi 2.

The film will be Ajay Devgn's eighth Rs 100 crore film after Golmaal Again, Singham Returns, Golmaal 3, Son Of Sardaar, Bol Bachchan, Singham and Shivaay. On the other hand, Ileana will achieve this feat for the third time after Barfii and Rustom. Apart from the lead cast, the film also stars Sulagna Panigrahi and Saurabh Shukla in key roles. It is currently the fourth highest grosser of the year after Padmaavat, Baaghi 2 and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Raid also dropped on its fourth Friday as it collected 30 lakhs nett which takes its tally to 94 crore nett. The film is nearing the end of its run and could have some decent collections on Saturday and Sunday but that will be about it. The film is a HIT but is likely to fall short of 100 crore nett mark unless it goes up three or four times on Saturday .

Raid box office collection day 25: Ajay Devgn's film rakes in Rs 101.84 crore

Ajay Devgn and Ileana D'Cruz starrer Raid has managed to survive well in its fourth week at the box office. Despite facing stiff competition from films like Hichki, Baaghi 2 and new release Blackmail, the period crime thriller earned decent collections on its fourth Monday. It raked in Rs 30 lakhs yesterday and now stands with the grand total of Rs 101.84 crore. By looking at the current scenario, we are expecting Raid to end its theatrical run around Rs 103 crore at the box office.

The film is currently the fourth highest grosser of the year after Padmaavat, Baaghi 2 and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Apart from the lead cast, the film also stars Saurabh Shukla, Sulagna Panigrahi and Pushpa Joshi in pivotal roles. The film is directed by Rajkumar Gupta, who previously helmed films like Aamir, No One Killed Jessica and Ghanchakkar. Raid is based on true events which occurred in Uttar Pradesh and has been inspired by real-life Income Tax raids which were held by Indian Revenue Services back in the '80s and 90's. Made on the budget of Rs 45 crore including promotion and advertising, the film has already turned out to be a huge success at the box office. Raid marks the second collaboration between Ajay and Ileana after Baadshaho. It is produced under the banners of Panorama Studios and T-Series. Raid is continuing to run at the box office into its seventh week and has collected a little over 98 crore nett till now. The film will hit 50 days on Friday and will probably still be screened in around 20 odd theaters. The film which started slowly has found appreciation at A center multiplexes and sustained well.

The business of the film in tier B and C centers be it multiplexes or single screens is not too good. Raid also grossed $3.3 million in Overseas which is a pretty good result in Overseas too and is the sixth highest grossing film of Ajay Devgn in Overseas while in India it will finish either fifth or sixth.
