According to a piracy data, #Padmaavat was downloaded 855,235 times worldwide over the weekend. Out of which 84% users were based in India (Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Pune & Hyderabad specifically) followed by Pakistan and USA as the 2nd& 3rd countries with highest no. of downloads.

Sadening to see this still rampant.

The movie deserves to be watched in Big Screen. The grandeur will be lost in pirated version.

Zaanduji even I can imagine who must have watched the pirated version of it. They will be the same ones crying about piracy if it ever to happen with their favorites. Don't be part of the problem.

So finally I watched the movie. I have to say I don't watch period movie and don't want to see a movie about war, chopping heads off, killing people during this difficult times. I like to watch happy movies during sad times. With that being said, I was surprised people watching the movie early on Tuesday evening. Great movie, great acting from all the actors actresses in the movie. I watched the movie for deepi and sadly after one period movie, she signed another period. When is she planning to sign happy masla movie?

Finally watched it today 😃

I absolutely loved it. And I loved each and every actor, except the lady who played Ratan's first wife.

The supporting cast was good too. And I loved how this movie had a female voiceover 👏

Shahid Kapoor : As I had expected, such a subtle, nuanced performance! And I did not feel that he had any less contribution towards the movie. In all his scenes I loved his expressions and dialogue delivery.

Deepika : Wow! She looks absolutely regal and gorgeous - even in the starting scenes when she was still the princess of Singhal. Her eyes are truly emotive. The last portion of the movie, starting from the battle, are truly spectacular.

Ranveer Singh: I have always liked him since his Band Baaja Baraat days. But after seeing him as Bajirao, I truly became his fan. My gosh, he has breathed life into Khilji's role 👏

He's so versatile, its amazing. This role was out and out of a deplorable villain and he just slipped into this character seamlessly. The last scene when he is rushing inside the fort like a mad man, while Padmavati and the other women are going towards the jauhar kund was surreal, and in my opinion a tragedy shown like poetry in motion. A beautifully shot ending.

I did not feel he went OTT - he made the whole Khalbali sequence watchable with those weird dance steps 😆, although I do feel that such songs do not fit into such movies.

Aditi looks beautiful and fit the role of Mehrunisa perfectly.

I liked Jim Sarbh too. His accent is a bit distracting, but he did well as the slave/consort.

In all a must watch for people who like historical movies. And I am so happy that Shahid, Deepika and Ranveer were chosen for this - I like all three of them.
