it's to do with their journey since 2013... and how they have gone through ups and downs.. in the early days anushka got trolled when she went to watch him play in England...then there was the WC semi final fiasco...followed by their temporary break up after which she got trolled again n he defended her... and then to see them make it through all this and then get married ...it's jus nice to see a happily every after in today's age especially in the celebrity world...

I never said people find them special because of their wedding or how they look.

I don't find them special based off of anything that we do know of them which is barely anything. Yes, Virat standing up for Anushka through tweets or whatever else was great, but that's about it. Other than that, what else do we even know of them? They have a few appearances at events, matches and now the wedding. We don't even know how they interact with each other in the public or what kind of relationship they share because they barely have come out together to show that in any way or form. And, while that's great in its own way but I still do not see why they're put on a pedestal as a couple. If it's because we're so used to seeing couples use each other, cheat on each other or flaunt themselves all the time, then yeah in that regards they're different or at least from what we have seen thus far. Other than that, I personally do feel that people hype them up a little too much around here.

I personally know nothing about them to really love them as much as people do apart from the few tweets that Virat as tweeted while defending Anushka.

if they had announced it in advance u wud have still said it's a PR stunt..and when they announced it on the day of their wedding u still have a problem... theres really no way to make everyone happy so they jus did what they wanted it to...im glad atleast they r happy!

why are u defending them so much ? Read my full sentence i did say alright its thier choice to announce whatever way they want .. its just i loved the wedding for its private feel .. which i believe is not their anymore. baat khatam .. i am not criticising them .. neither am i giving tentative time periods for their wedding period .. may they live happily but i dont find thier wedding any special now.

For them those moments were private. Also, celebrity weddings are a way for wedding planners, jewelers etc. to promote themselves and Viru & Anu agreed to that! They also okayed their friends/family to go ahead and post whatever they want.

As for the other stuff...these two look very happy together and they are sharing their happiness. We should be happy for them. At this point in time these two seem to be in love and it's wonderful. I don't mind the pictures! I like seeing pictures of people in love...the world has too much shit going on anyways! These days if a marriage can last about 20 years, we should be pleased. So chillax karo. No need to show so much negative emotion for a celebrity wedding! LOL!

lol thank u for saying what I was trying to but cudnt.

Fans love being included in these kind of celebrations. People get excited to see inside pictures from regular parties and gatherings too.

Sure, you can be like Rani and Adi and never share anything but it's disappointing for a lot of fans not to be able to see anything. A lot of people have their emotions involved in celebrities they like. For the celebrity, it often means finding a balance between some privacy and some public exposure. Anushka and Virat had a small wedding with no celebrities or other important people. They did it very quickly when they could have announced it months ago and dragged it on for ages in the media. They could have done a public engagement a year ago too and let it simmer in the media for a long long time.

Instead they did it very quickly and privately with only a small amount of family and non-celebrity friends and then allowed pics and videos to be shared to let their fans join in the celebration too.

The thing is, when you hate a celebrity which some clearly do here, *anything* they do will be twisted to give it a negative connotation. Any action can be used to form whatever narrative you choose.

This n that. Thullu babaji ka.

I am DP fan and I have defended Anu here. You can check page 7. I dislike speculation of lonegetivity of relationship be it KSG-Bips or anyone else. That's such negativity. And,I said so. Everyone has their own stand.

Some of you love blaming everything on DP fans though. 😃

^^Ehhh I don't hate her & I certainly am not the only who expressed criticism here, I see lots of other people expressing the same opinion as me. I actually loved her wedding, her look & I like her BF less than her... Sooo.. I don't see how I am dragged here.. Ohhh wait! But that certain fans love doing anyway & love playing fill-in-their-(ridiculous) blanks so MEH. Too used to all this BS & random fandom attacks by now.

P. S. And I am NOT a DP fan, my entire soul Rebels against being called a fan so stop. Praising someone's beauty 24/7 does not a fan, make. 😆

Yeah Vikrant tweeted as soon as the test series against Sri Lanka ended and Virat began his leave. He even tweeted a confirmation to fans a day or so before the wedding asking them to trust him or something, as news would soon be out, as though he knew the entire shaadi schedule. The funny thing was that while Vikrant tweeted about the Italian wedding, Anushka's official spokesperson denied it just to create more confusion and buzz😆

Come to think of it, India Today did give the wedding the most footage.

Poor Harsha - he's in this because he truly loves cricket, not to fanboy over anyone.

This drama is so fun to pull apart. Check this article in India Today and marvel at the absurdity of it all:

http://indiatoday.intoday.in/story/virat-kohli-anushka-sharma-married/1/1104463.html

Exhibit A:

"Anushka Sharma's bridal wear is likely to be designed by fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The designer was spotted exiting Anushka's house last week, leading to speculation that he might design her wedding trousseau."

Not only do they have paparazzi outside Mumbai airport, they have paparazzi outside Anushka's house 24/7 to check if a designer pops over - I mean designers never work with actresses on anything except wedding assignments right (*sarcasm*)

Exhibit B:

"Virat Kohli's childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, who is also the coach of the Under-23 Delhi team, has excused himself from a match on December 7, citing a wedding. When asked whose wedding, he said his 'nephew' was getting married."

This gets even weirder - someone checked if Virat's childhood coach is going on leave in December or not (apparently he's a celebrity warranting 24/7 media attention as well)

And that my dear is how the cookie crumbles and the khichdi gets made. Far from being a crusty old hag (old hag yes, crusty and cynical certainly not 😆) - I do find weddings and relationships beautiful. Maybe it's the non-cynical romantic in me that is disgusted with the PR-shilling disguised as wedding that I've been bombarded with lately.

^^The more you're hashing out these details the more I realise that I was too caught up in the loveliness of their wedding to miss my most golden opportunity to bash & hate on Anushka & her precious international cricketer husband! God Swati! I could've almost missed my prized chance! #DPFANRants
