Supposedly Virat and Dhoni both played a part in getting Harsha fired for being too neutral
Yeah Vikrant tweeted as soon as the test series against Sri Lanka ended and Virat began his leave. He even tweeted a confirmation to fans a day or so before the wedding asking them to trust him or something, as news would soon be out, as though he knew the entire shaadi schedule. The funny thing was that while Vikrant tweeted about the Italian wedding, Anushka's official spokesperson denied it just to create more confusion and buzz😆
Come to think of it, India Today did give the wedding the most footage.
Poor Harsha - he's in this because he truly loves cricket, not to fanboy over anyone.
This drama is so fun to pull apart. Check this article in India Today and marvel at the absurdity of it all:
http://indiatoday.intoday.in/story/virat-kohli-anushka-sharma-married/1/1104463.html
Exhibit A:
"Anushka Sharma's bridal wear is likely to be designed by fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The designer was spotted exiting Anushka's house last week, leading to speculation that he might design her wedding trousseau."
Not only do they have paparazzi outside Mumbai airport, they have paparazzi outside Anushka's house 24/7 to check if a designer pops over - I mean designers never work with actresses on anything except wedding assignments right (*sarcasm*)
Exhibit B:
"Virat Kohli's childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, who is also the coach of the Under-23 Delhi team, has excused himself from a match on December 7, citing a wedding. When asked whose wedding, he said his 'nephew' was getting married."
This gets even weirder - someone checked if Virat's childhood coach is going on leave in December or not (apparently he's a celebrity warranting 24/7 media attention as well)
And that my dear is how the cookie crumbles and the khichdi gets made. Far from being a crusty old hag (old hag yes, crusty and cynical certainly not 😆) - I do find weddings and relationships beautiful. Maybe it's the non-cynical romantic in me that is disgusted with the PR-shilling disguised as wedding that I've been bombarded with lately.
