For those still doubting this marketing coup, can you imagine Vikrant daring to leak this info on twitter without Virat's permission. I mean Virat wields enough power to get Harsha Bhogle and Anil Kumble fired by BCCI. He could easily end the career of a mere journalist by getting BCCI to boycott him. This is the same Virat who got into a scuffle with a journo for writing crap about Anushka once.

Wow. It just occurred to me that if they really wanted this wedding to be 'private' and just for family so much so that they booked an estate that expensive, and with that much security they could have easily made it one. Just like Adi and Rani's. That was a truly private wedding. So all this bs about this wedding being lowkey, being private, just for family is a bunch of hogwash. They really wanted all the details out. I would have understood if there was a third party involved or some kinda media leakage but it was literally their family and friends leaking their private moments which could have been stopped if they really wanted it private.
Hmmm.

Yes, there should be a marketing case study on it. Leak through your close friend, reliable sports journo of Aaj Tak, Vikrant Gupta, that you are getting wed in Italy. Then keep the media guessing for a week and news channels abuzz while the same Aaj Tak group's English sister channel India Today's entertainment journo lands up at your wedding location filming exclusive footage from outside the resort. Generate more hype, keep the buzz alive till it reaches the crescendo and then flood the social media with "private wedding pics". Arre itni perfect positioning ki that even cynical KJo ka dil pighal gaya 😆

I was wondering why India Today was splashing all the juicy details before anyone else - did they have a dedicated Virushka expert on their team - well I guess they had a more direct pipeline to the PR team.

Did India Today's entertainment journalist really travel to Italy? There's no way an Indian publication would fly a journalist all expenses paid on the faint suspicion that a celebrity wedding might be taking place - they clearly knew what was going on.

Well played Ms. Sharma, very well played.

Did Bhogle get fired at Virat's insistence? I thought he had pissed off someone else - I guess Bachchan had sly tweeted about him. Kumble was all Virat though.

December 6 was when Vikrant had first tweeted about the wedding.

This came out within hours of the wedding being solemnized - almost as if they had been sitting on a huge dossier of info that they were only at liberty to release once the wedding was done.

That was interesting read. While I agree one has to be either naive or idiot to believe that everything detail about the marriage was leaked coincidentally, including the pandit's pic this marriage definitely had attracted or made to attract attention calculatively. Ah, I could care less if they wanted a solid Divyanka- Vivek guy type marriage.
The outburst and personal attacks by some of mature ones is funny though, Kudos to you ! ( Ah, you did mention where you got the training, had we meet there I would have been definitely on the opposite side ,if my guess is correct😆)
For some reason even Anushka is tolerable with Virat,so Best wishes to the couple
Since I have concurred to a major portion of your POV, am I lonely- old-fashioned jealous soul who couldn't bear oh-so-in love couple? Wait, I already am ,since I am a jealous DP fan who loves trolling Anushka because it is super fun.

I love how the reporter was literally rolling his eyes and laughing when he said - "we are going in search of Virushka", "koi milega bhi Virat humein - kuchh hoga" - like he didn't have every last detail of their location and the wedding schedule with him. This is hilarious!
