Mard: AFAIK, they settled around coastal areas but that bit of history is rusty.. Idk if she is Brahim, she is Tulu, are they Brahmins. Would be very interesting to know where she is from. And Dia!! Hardly looks like her Mum.

Interesting, never knew this about HR.
How did he have a Bong grand-mother? Also PZ? Anushka? They're extremely fair & not conventionally Indian looking either..

Both of Ash's parent's look proper 'South Indian'. I don't think uske ancestors ne Greece ka naam bhi suna hoga. 😆 Light eyes are found in every sub-race, some more frequently than others.

AFAIK, Rakesh Roshan's mother was Bengali, thats Music director Roshan's wife.

But Roshan himself was very light skinned so the complexion and light eyes Rakesh and Hrithik both have inherited might have come from his side.

As for Ash, shes from Bunt tribe of Coorg and many Coorgis have light colored eyes and very fair skin. Back in British times, the Coorgis mixed with British plantation owners and thats how it came about.

There is this dance teacher here in NY who teaches Bharat Natyam, shes related to Ash's family and shes also very fair though not cat eyed.

^^Aah see! There had to be Greek or white blood in her. A lot of Bunts I've seen are like that & though Ash looks a lot like her mother, her mother isn't fair or light eyed. Wonder how Anushka & PZ are too... Himachalis usually are though

Rani and Kajol both have light brown eyes, it runs in the family, S Mukherjee's daughter, Kajol's Bua also has light brown eyes, although these ladies are not very fair skinned.

Many Bengali Brahmins have very fair skin and light eyes, because present Bengali Brahmins have their origins in Kashi/ Benaras, centuries ago many Kashi Brahmins moved base to Bengal when the Kings of Bengal invited Kashi Brahmins to join their Ministries to share their their learning of scriptures.

Rajputs and Punjabis, Himachalis, Kashmiris all probably have more Aryan blood than other areas as Aryans had settled in the North.

The middle states of India from west to east have a perfect mixture of Aryan and Dravidian skin tone and features.

Nope. Aishwarya is a Mangalorean Bunt, not a "Coorgi". They are called Coorgs and speak Kodava (not Tulu) and have a pretty different culture. Bunts used to be a warrior class and there is no recorded history of us mixing with any British people from that time.

Anushka's mother is from Dehradun region and most of the Pahadis are fair. Eg: Urvashi Rautela
