Nobody. People have become completely intolerant to other opinions.

It was completely fine when a mass of people were dissing the movie and mocking and enjoying but the minute someone says something like "hey you know what, I think it's good, but I can understand why it failed" a huge war is started and assumptions are being made that they were being called stupid for hating it.

Of course people who liked a movie are going to wonder about why it failed. They won't blame the movie itself because they *liked* it. Why is that so hard to understand? So then it's a mental exercise to understand what went wrong. For some people, it is the sexual content, for some it's slowness, for some it's something else. Everyone is allowed to have their own view on it.

The demands to think a certain way and using victimization techniques to shut down discussion is not cute.

Thank u!! Seriously!! I am yet to see anyone 'blaming' Indian tastes! 😕
Dissing and laughing at the 'taste' of the ones who liked it is perfectly fine, but the opposite is blasphemy here!

Where was the outrage then? No outrage for the Indian audience then...there is no shame in being a ricksawalla or auto walla...they are hard working people...but its actually shameful to be called a launda lafadi...and the same people who kept mum then are outraging when someone just compared the taste of different groups of people...yes the tastes of people differ...that is why BW itself classifies the audience as CLASSES and MASSES...that doesn't make any one superior...its just a differentiation of taste...why is it so difficult or so offensive if someone gave their opinion on different taste of people?

I didn't say that. I also don't like Salman at all so idk. I like Aahil and am friendly with some of his fans here, that's it. Also, I wasn't here during the Launde fiasco. That said, he is insulting his own fans. Ab unhe uske baad bhi Salman films dekhna hain, toh their prerogative. I don't especially care about what the stars said anyway. But some of the people on this forum keep questioning Indian taste which isn't funny to me personally. Especially when NRI people do it. It's offensive when NRIs bring up and assume Indian taste. Not everything is a fandom war, this is about every fandom doing it. Of course the tastes of people differ, but one can praise films and figure out what went wrong with it WITHOUT questioning and making broad assumptions about Indians. It's easy enough.

@Star-girl - I have seen you bringing NRI Vs Indians debate in some other topics as well. Is there a problem with NRIs?
Yes this forum is divided by many things, but Nationality isn't one of them. We have mix of Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Indians in various fan groups and we don't consider ourselves divided by nationalities.

We all discuss Indian Vs Over seas BO and the intent is to understand audience reactions . This is a discussion forum after all !!

One small fact may help you - we are NRIs, but our parents and family still lives in India and we all respect our country and are connected to India though BW.

Are you an Indian living in India? No, right? So you won't get why it feels so exhausting to read assumptions on Indian tastes. India has accepted films like Shudh Desi Romance well enough. "Conservative Indians" can't accept sexual scenarios is so blatantly offensive. You aren't an Indian living in India, so obviously it seems like such an inconsequential thing to you. This forum, for years, has mocked and made subtle digs on Indian taste. What I don't understand why Anushka and SRK fans are becoming so mad at it. It's not aimed at you all in particular? It's my breaking point in this forum. How many times should I mention every fandom does this? If anything, SRK fans do this the least in my biased opinion despite his movies being rejected by Indians. I have seen very few of them complaining when Fan flopped. It's plenty of other fandoms including some SRK fans also. This just got to a discussion because I keep seeing this same patterns over and over again for many films.

I know u were not here...but there was no outrage here...Imagine if a member had called someone launda lafadi...and also I think we had discussed it previously also...most of the NRIs here have families back in India...dissing Indians will be dissing our own selves...we can discuss problems that India faces...we can discuss our frustrations here...among Indians...but that doesn't mean that we are dissociating our selves from there...My Mom and brother . my in laws live in India...I would be disrespecting them too...right??
and discussing different tastes...is nothing bad...unless there is an intention to mock...I am an NRI...and I got offended by the use of the word intercourse when it came out in the triler of JHMS...i also didn't like the dirty dialogues in SMS...there is no superiority in being open or shame in being conservative...unless one thinks like that ...people shouldn't be offended by discussion of different tastes.

Nothing new. This has been in fashion since for ages in the forum. I actually enjoy such posts. It's funny to see these NRIs in their little la la land here in the forum which is completely different from reality in India. And since this forum mainly consists of NRI's (it atleast was when I was an active member here), they think that their collective opinion is the final verdict when it comes to films and actors while the ground reality is completely different. No wonder Ranbir Kapoor here is a superstar and Varun Dhawan, a nobody. So I guess just enjoy such posts instead of being affected.
Remember the time Kareena said she is now KKK and the whole forum went into a frenzy saying how Kareena will get into trouble now and we brainless, illiterate desis were like 'aisa kya keh diya?' 😆

@Star_girl - ^^ yes I am not living in India. And my parents who live in Asia have different cultural beliefs regarding these things and so many of that generation think that. I'm just defending the line Pallavi said cz for me honestly back home is much more conservative than the west (and as first an Asian born and brought up girl I don't think they r wrong or backwards for that. I just wanted to share that)

so u mean when Salman Khan called his fans laundey lafadi...it was not an insult...but when members used Salman's term...it was an insult?? wah bhai wah...ab dono toh nahi ho sakte na mini ji...either launde lafadi is an abusive term...or it is not?? which one is it??

Lmao... People feigning ignorance and trying to blame the FORUM MEMBERS for bringing out the hypocrisy.
One look at the BO topic and all questions would have been answered but then.. 🤣 🤣
