Why does (a portion of) the forum do this? Constantly? The minute any movie by their favorite celebrity flops, some of you guys immediately point out the lack of understanding on the part of the Indian audience. Is this funny to you? Constantly tearing apart Indians for daring to reject the films by your favorites? Every post against the continuous generalization of Indian audience is met with clamors of protest and claims of caring about Indians. If you guys have any respect for the Indians, why do you never show it when your fellow fans put them down? Some of you are mad about any kind of generalization made against the NRIs populating this forum and yet have absolutely no problem with years of hating Indian viewers. The double standards are unreal. This forum and its continuous overt and subtle criticism of Indian viewers after the films of the forum favorites flop is disgusting. Release these classy and subtle films directly overseas then, don't come crying for our money or appreciation. We are clearly not intelligent enough for this. People can say, they liked one film and it was an interesting experiment that may not be liked by everyone WITHOUT insulting Indian viewers. It's pretty easy. Try it sometime. Then, people come after me informing me how they never criticize Indians and I overreact. Us foolish Indians are smart enough to know when we're being put down. It's not that box office successful films are necessarily good films. Even us stupid Indians know that. But when films are criticized by viewers, critics and results in bad collections - can it be that the problem was probably the film? And not us stupid Indian viewers who didn't understand the subtleties which were not made explicit onscreen.

PS I don't want or care for any justifications. I have seen more than enough of this. For years too. I don't care if you don't personally do it. You don't stop it either.

I agree with this. I don't care about anything else, but it would be so nice if this stops happening..
Enough with the bashing of India and Indians implying they are uneducated, illiterate, dumb or not intellectual enough to understand freaking movies over fav actor and director And the usual defence is we toh are indians...

Gracefully accepting fate of movie would be so much better than the constant blaming of audience...

For me... films are all about entertainment either they click with the audience or they don't. SRK's excuse about not understanding the film is a lousy excuse for doing a shitty film. There was no spark in the film. Same ole ghisa pita story with same cast repeated several times. Indian audience is getting smarter because they want their money worths. I live in the state and I can't remember the last time I saw a film in a theatre. People don't want to drive to a theatre and spend money in a crowded theatre with tons of noise, and lit screen and over priced food. Home entertainment is where its going to be in few years. I'd prefer watching a terrible copy of JHMS than spend $14 dollars on a movie ticket at the theatre plus parking. What I found odd is that all the SRK fans started blaming Anushka for the failure. Maybe for once start blaming SRK and Imtaiz Ali?

I have seen only 1 member out here doing it repeatedly...

AUDIENCE Overseas ki bhi REJECT KARTI Hai... just that we have habit of seeing less figures, so woh less figures bhi HUGE Lagte hai wahan se 😆

From Recent release JHMS, i would say... don't diss INDIAN Audience, they have made him STAR by accepting him in Deewana, Baazigar & Darr, due to which he got chance to release his films in OVERSEAS... agar yahin reject ho jaata toh no1 would have cared for him in Overseas.

Also, Overseas collections in MAIN MARKET is Pathetic for SRK Standard for JHMS & more or less for all his films released this decade with 1-2 exception, he has started releasing films in other countries & collection looks huge.

This forum used to joke about Salman fans being Rickshaw-wala and auto-wala. This is the standard of this forum and the NRI types and non Indians who would throw every Indian under the bus for their favorites. This forum hates India and Indians. Are you surprised to see them bringing up and insulting Indians for the epic disaster of their faves? It's in the nature of this forum. Overhype film, Jump on everyone calling a trash-looking film trash, film flops, disappear for a bit, come back and claim how it was an niche classic, blame Indians, blame their taste. Rinse and repeat. Ab real life mein toh Indians are rejecting these cult classics by faves, ab kare toh kya kare?

Not just that, I would want to point out one more thing here about Akki. People constantly mock him (a special group of people) for accepting Canadian Citizenship and still doing stuffs for Indian Army as it's a farce and publicity stunt. Fine. But the biggest irony is - The same group of people are the NRI ones. You point that to them, and they would be like 'Oh we didn't give up our Indian Citizenship to accept another country's citizenship'. Wow 👏. My 2 questions to them -

1. Who told you that spending entire life or even the majority of youth in another country and still having Indian Passport makes one a GREAT Indian citizen than the one who is LIVING in India, paying taxes here but just because holds a different XYZ country passport has less noble intention for THIS country ? Just because you don't have the citizenship of another country but are living ENTIRE life outside India, only holding 'passport' makes you the epitome of Patriotism enough to question others on their actions towards Army or farmers ?

2. And who knows that whether given a chance, the same group of people who are shouting on Akki's passport issue but spent their entire lives in other countries, won't accept their citizenship as well ? Who knows if it's voluntarily rejecting other country's citizenship or they are trying hard since years to get it but not able to hold one ?

Anyways, there has been a lot said about this issue but I didnt participate during those times. Just thought if I can share my two cents here. The constant superiority complex of the NRIs in this forum just repulse me so much.

P.S. - I am an NRI myself but I sadly belong to the 'stupid' Indian audience group who calls a bad script movie as bad and likes good movies. And I dont question the intelligence of our audience, because after 10-15 yrs I finally feel BW is going through its BEST time.🥳Yes there are movies where I wonder how it becomes a hit, but I understand I represent may be 0.000000000000001% of India and who am I to decide/wonder what 99.99% movie goers would like ? Janta Janaardan 😃. And for once, I love Akki for doing whatever limited he can for whoever Indians. 🥳 More power to all people (Indians, NRIs and Outsiders) who think about 'our' people. Thanks !.
