Does anyone remember the train scene where Harry asks Sejal to hug him? And the first time they hug, she pulls back, slaps one of his hand away and then hugs him back. And you see Harry holding that hand still for a moment before hugging her back. Why does she slap his hand?

Also the beach scene right after Phurr. I loved how someone explained how Sejal likes to touch him. Because as she's massaging him, he grabs her behind and pulls her against him. And even though she pulls his hands away, she still ends up hugging him / being flush against his body like he wanted. It's just that instead of him doing it, she wants to be the one in control.

Damn you Pallo, why didn't you watch the movie before us ?!! In JJ, there were Refrences , God knows how you unraveled this movie's hidden layers .
Your review makes so many things clear, specially the NRI part . How did we miss it ? Chalo, one debate is settled now 😆

YES YES even I wanted to ask. Why did she slap his hand away? 🤣 It was cutely funny but I wasn't sure why she did that.

I wish they didn't cut that scene short after Phurr but you're right. He did move her closer (hot) but she took his hands away and just leaned in to him as if she wanted to be in control of what she does and feels...and he just lets her.

No, I dont write blogs, I used to write Fan Fics on my favorite couple from 2006 to 2012, then I lost interest in them so stopped writing. Posted several fan fics on IF Fan fic forum, had a bunch of readers back then.

Basically, the Eng Lit background comes in handy to write these things, we had to analyze such boring books, reviewing BW movies is a blast compared to that 😆

Professional writing, not sure abt that. Something has to appeal to me or interest me enough to write otherwise I dont feel like doing it 😆

😆 Weekend we went to the beach and shopping outlets, so couldnt watch. Better late than never 😆

Yes, this movie would appeal more to NRIs because of that whole being lonely and missing home ethos ...many of SRK movies are like that, they appeal more to our sensibilities.

I loved JJ and still dont get it why it didnt do well 😕

It was too quick, but I thought that hand might have gone inside her jacket. I wanted someone to confirm 😆

I'm really hoping it's a deleted scene and had dialogues and was just cut. Had been eagerly waiting for that scene and even from the flashbacks, it appears like it was a long scene.

So Harry and Sejal are the closest Bollywood will come to Drake and Nicki Minaj in Anaconda. 😆

Nikki...no one is generalizing the NRI's...yesterday a question was being raised by some that why is JHMS doing better overseas...or why do SRK movies do better overseas in general...and we were just trying to figure it out...Pallavi's explanation makes sense..as to the why of it...there may be other reasons also but this is a good explanation...no one is generalizing anyone here...neither NRIs or the Indian audience...just trying to understand. No one is saying that everyone overseas likes SRK or everyone in India hates SRK...there is nothing wrong with either liking or hating SRK or any other movie star...they are celebrities and they earn this love and hate emotions...nothing new.

As for ur parents...I hope that one day SRK makes a movie which they can watch and enjoy.😛

Not to offend anyone, but I sorta don't get what's there in JHMS specifically to connect with NRIs. Certain movies do have themes that will appeal to them, where characters long for their homeland or being pride of their ethnicity in a sea of foreigners, like depicted in Swades, K3G etc but JHMS had no such outsider themes really. This movie could have been about Harry running away from Punjab to Bangalore, and taking Anushka on a tour of the south Indian states and nothing much would change. I'm not a NRI so I admittedly don't know much, just assuming 😊
