I dont think anyone will argue that Kjo has a big hand in Alia's career but it's not like he has complete hold on every single good script out there. If he did films like Pink, Piku, Neerja etc etc would've never landed in other actresses laps. He can control Alia's career sure but it's not like he can completely shut down other actresses from getting their hands on a good film somehow.
No he can't completely shut down other actresses as Alia simply can't do every movie, nor can every good director be bought. There's also new directors who might not be able to approach Alia. Competition always arises when you're not looking or looking in another direction. Vidya, Kangana came from nowhere and made life difficult for the Kareena's and Deepika's.
But in an industry where good roles are hard to come by, blocking them for one actress minimizes the few existing opportunities for others. How can someone else prove themselves if they are never given a chance? If they are, it's snatched away by KjO. It's one thing for KJo to give Alia movies his PH develops and another for him to give other movies to Alia. When you don't create an open and fair environment, you limit the talent you get. You don't get the best talent, you don't make the best movies... people move on, as it's happening now.
I doubt KJo expected anything from Piku, Pink, Neerja in the first place TBH.
