Why isn't Illeana D'cruz more famous ?? Is it really Alia Bhatt's fault ?

You mean why she is not more successful ?
She was good in so many roles in film
But still some how did not get that push in her career
To some extent may be nepotism is the reason

I had lot of expectations from Illeana after watching her in Barfi. She is Beautiful & can act. Illeana won Best Debut awards that year & Alia was heavily criticized for her bad acting in SOTY but the same critics praised her after Highway. Illeana's career didnt really takeoff. I feel bad for her. Its sad to see Illeana doing movies like Main tera hero & Mubarakan. She definitely deserves better.

But why blame Alia for everything? As if she takes away all the roles. Its time that we accept that Alia is talented & deserves to where she is. The audience has accepted her nor her movies wouldn't have worked at BO.

blaming alia for everything has become the norm

but imo alia cannot be blamed for illeana's absolute lack of screen presence and being totally lost in the crowd. That is if anything illeana's fault. When audience are paying to see you on big screen and you fail to make yourself notice or stand out..you won't make it big whether you have big names supporting you or not..

If Alia didn't have KJo as a sugar daddy, then she should've been lost in the crowd too, if KJo supported Illeana like he did Alia, then Illeana would've go lot farther because Illeana is more beautiful than Alia.

alia stood out.period.

esha..uday..abhishek and so so many more never did despite heavy nepotism. Gotta give credit where due. Talent and screen presence no amount of nepotism can bring. It is your own which is only alia's

as for illeana..she has poor screen presence which again is her lack of presence no amount of nepotism can change unless she herself does it

illeana wasn't a great actress to begin with.

she admits that she has some issues with being an introvert and also body issues.

networking more could have helped.. its not like she didnt do her fair share of redundant films back in the south

Ileana is amazing at emoting. Better than Alia and her other contemporaries. She has a banging body and exotic looks too. Alia is average in all departments but is shoved in our faces by KJo.

And we really undermine KJo's power/clout. Having his backing is not the same as what other starkids like Abhishek and Esha had. The likes of Uday were really not promoted that well despite him being Adi Chopra's brother - A launch in Mohabbatein where he is lost among 5 other newbies and when the actual starcast of the film were Big B, SRK and Ash? Please.
