Fawad must have self respect which he actually gracefully displayed by not talking about it AT ALL instead of crying!! He has plenty of work here and one should work where he is respected!! and I agree he was targeted but it was because of the timing of the release and because he was the most prominent face of Pakistan at that time not because of some conspiracy theory!!

Case 1:

Pakistani actor in a cameo in a Bollywood film is bashed, mocked and ridiculed and his producer/director promises never to work with Pakistanis again. His role is cut and his relationship with his mentor mocked at by jobless singer and everyone enjoys it as a sign of solidarity towards Indian soldiers. The CM of Maharashtra brokers peace between the producer and a irrelevant party and allows the film to release.

Case 2:

Pakistani actress in a lead role in a Bollywood film. She features prominently in the promos and her director, producer and costar all express unhappiness she isnt able to promote her film. The same CM of Maharastra in this case gives tax free status to this film. No one bats an eyelid. In the meantime two Indian soldiers are beheaded at the border by Pakistani soldiers.

Why this difference?

2. Indian movies are indeed made for us. If not then Bollywood should stop putting movies in cinemas in Pakistan. In Karachi I have seen multiple movies running in 10 cinemas. Please do not pass such a comment without street knowledge. Bollywood would not like to make itself Indian only..It is an industry not some exclusive fanatic Pakistan hating parivaar

3. We do not watch movies of stars who speak against our country. I dont give a dollar to them. Dont worry..we are intelligent enough to realize that.. However rest of the people I dont discriminate against.

4. Difference between Fawad and Hippo is following

a- I did not go to India to work, to make money. I have never even seen that country. It has nothing to do with my real life as in job, education, money etc.

b- The good example is USA. And here I am feel wanted and no one behaves bad (at least on face). Now if things changes and this country becomes for me what India has become for Pakistanis then sure I will leave.

c- Bollywood is a commodity. They sell their products to us and we are consumers. By your logic I should stop going to local Indian store also. The issue of self respect does not arise.

d- Fawad is active. He was going extra step and wanting work. So he or others like him should show respect and not go there when there are goons and badmassh people abusing them. Simple. He did that I agree. Now I want others to stop

In conclusion do not compare members here posting to stars working in bollywood. here we are welcomed and there is no one stopping us. If you go to Pakistan newspapers like DAWN 70% of comments there are of Indians. Why are they there?

So dont give this logic again.

I, Hippopotamus, stand by my earlier comment of asking Pakistani artists to stop working in Bollywood unless and until things improve and one feels wanted. We audience are wanted and hence Bollywood producers putting their movies in Pakistani cinemas.

Difference is short term memory of people and how they promoted movie, hindi medium wasnt promoted as pak actress, many people don't even know who she was, same thing happened with Mom debutant actress, sometime popularity can backfire. fawad represented pak actor while others were unknown actor.
