salman khan needs comedy in his films to do well

SRK's judgement?
There u go again, berating SRK's script choices, so u think his choice of Raees or DZ were wrong?

As a fan, I loved Raees. Unfortunately SRK himself screwed up the promotions and release dates with his movie leading people to think he's not confident and the movie must be bad. Delaying movies always gives a bad impression and Raees suffered from that. I think he should have definitely clashed it with Sultan like originally planned. It would have emerged well from it.

I can't say the same for Dear Zindagi. I thought that movie was a huge borefest. I appreciate him trying a quieter movie but oh my god, it was so boring and cheesy in places. I don't blame SRK for that because he was fabulous in the movie but a total dud from Gauri Shinde compared to English Vinglish. He only had a supporting role so I don't even count it as his movie.

SRK is still trying to figure out how to work at an older age IMO. Salman will also have to go through that transition soon because he can't keep doing action and masala forever either. It's too tough on an older body so it has to end at some point. He will face those issues soon too.

Tubelight was a wasted opportunity . Imagine if the movie focused on only Zhu Zhu , Matin and Salman playing a normal role instead of Sohail

The director is the captain of the ship. Ultimately the failure and success lies with him or her. But you cannot absolve the actors. The director can only do so much with an actor's talent for something. It is either there or not. In this case, Salman has many talents, this role was not one of them.

Agreed. SRK out of all the Khans is transitioning the most I feel. Clearly acting is not his first love any more. But he is a fabulous actor and I miss that person. Looking forward to the BigB type roles I hope he will do.

No, I could care less about polling people or even tracking them on their opinion. But, I definitely do not like the hypocrisy. If in all those other films, actors are blamed then why the sudden intense blame on kabir in this case? Why not blame salman here, too? It's the fairness of the matter. But, meh. I'm nobody's overseer, people can have whatever opinions they want, just extend the same courtesy to other people, too. 🤔

have not seen either, so all parties are to blame to spend money on a movie that looks so boring that can't even get people into the theater esp after working in the industry for so long

My Name is Khan was a HIT
and SRK got Best Actor awards for that movie
his performance as an autistic man was widely appreciated
If you have not watched MNIK I would advise you to watch it

In DZ SRK's role was really good, his character, his dialogues were memorable and the best part of the movie.
Raees would not get enough screens if it clashed with Sultan. Raees had announced its release date a year before, even released trailer with BB but Adi bulldozed his way to that date later with sultan and bagged most of the screens with his dominant position as producer in the industry

Got this on Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aditya_Chopra#Raees

[65] A teaser/trailer of the film was released across social media platforms and attached to Bajrangi Bhaijaan on July 17, 2015 announcing it as a July 5, 2016 release; packaged and presented as an Eid project.[66] However, sensing an opportunity in the same period, YRF went ahead to green-light its own Sultan slated for a release on the same day, in January 2016. Principal photography with Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma was completed in 3 months followed by post-production work being completed in May.[67] A teaser/trailer and other marketing material featuring both Khan and Sharma were released simultaneously starting April across platforms and networks. The film was ready for a July 5 release and resultantly, around 4230 theatre screens available in India would have been divided among the two films.[68]

Realising a loss in business to both films, Ritesh Sidhwani and Shahrukh Khan, the producers of Raees approached Chopra to work out a settlement to ensure both projects are exhibited comfortably across centres.[69] However, Chopra disagreed to shift his release date stating the poor performance of Khan's prior releases (Happy New Year, Dilwale and Fan) in the global Box Office.[70] Moreover, Chopra ensured that YRF Distributors (his film distribution leg) exhibit Sultan to more than 3100 screens (out of the total 4230), apparently abusing his dominant position and clout in the Entertainment Industry of India, an allegation that he has battled several times in the past.

Kabir and Salman both garnered terrible reviews... Salman for terrible acting and Kabir for terrible writin... It is silly and ignorant to put all blame on just one.

and "My heart goes out to Kabir Khan"???

How corny 😆

Sallu could not enact that role, how is that Kabir's fault? 😕

Typical of them to throw Kabir under the bus after he gave Sallu his biggest blockbuster

A better actor would have carried out the director's vision more successfully.

hope you saw the movie that's why you know sallu could not enact the role 😉 or should i say " Did you watch the movie? If not then watch first then we can discuss "
