A better actor would have carried out the director's vision more successfully.

i think srk is a better actor than salman but my name is khan was probably just as bad as tube light

have not seen either, so all parties are to blame to spend money on a movie that looks so boring that can't even get people into the theater esp after working in the industry for so long

SRK has said in old interviews that after Ashoka and PPDHH flopped, he was told by many people in the industry and his own friends and family members that he can't make movies that only he likes and he has to choose projects that appeal to the audience.

I think that's where he goes wrong. He tries to choose movies he thinks the public will like even when he doesn't really like them himself. I find it hard to believe that he actually like stuff like Happy New Year and Dilwale - he just assumed that kind of silly masala movie would be liked by the audience. He has said many times that even Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om had Farah Khan's humor, not his, because his type of humor in movies isn't liked by the audience. (for example, he loved Badshah)

Salman has a kind of tapori taste himself and I think he's often right, especially lately, about the kind of masala movies he makes. You can tell that he himself likes those movies. Bajrani was just a fluke and he trusted Kabir so he decided to trust him again with Tubelight.
