Kjo's mom Hiroo and Yash Chopra are brother and sister. So Adi is KJo's cousin. What he perhaps meant is Adi mentored KJO in DDLJ. He might have also encouraged KJO to take up the reins of Dharma and help in running it initially because unlike Adi who was fearless KJO was chicken. SRK and Kajol had to push him to direct and Kajol came back from retirement and gave up a Manirathnam movie to star in it. It is KKHH.
