You know I think it makes sense in that he had unrequited love for a guy who couldn't reciprocate in the same way he wanted because he wasn't gay. It's the only way ADHM actually made sense to me as I found it difficult to imagine how Alizeh couldn't love Ayan the way he wanted as their vibes were not just buddy-ish.

But that's my take on it and I could be completely wrong

Your AB-Ash theory is quite intriguing though.
