As much as I love Alia these days, she easily forgets that if not her, her star kid counterparts continue to get movies that they typically botch with their "acting skills" so while she has proved her worth, others have not and the nepotism is what keeps them going and getting movies. Some other actress who had a streak like for example Shradda's would have been dropped ages ago.
She is been unnecessarily put through the scanner of nepotism.
How many times she needs to prove her worth to the audience?Barring one she has given all successful movies.Let's not paint everyone with the same brush an give credit where it's due.

She completely glosses over the fact that generally, star kids get more changes than outsiders. Period. There's literally no questioning that. Sure you may have outliers like star kids who are written out after one movie (super rare) or an outsider than gets more than 1 chance to prove themselves, but on the whole, nepotism rules the industry.
And in all honestly, nepotism is prevalent everywhere. I don't necessarily think its a bad thing. After all, the entire world and its jobs is based upon who you know (networking), which in essence, is basically nepotism. I think it only becomes a bad thing when it completely dominates. In other words, when the industry begins to exclusively favour nepotism and/or the balance between nepotism and pure outsider hard work becomes to tilt heavily in the formers side. And that's exactly what's happening in bwood and that's why I have such a problem with it. And also with the star kids who refuse to believe that this is a phenomenon. The fact that she refuses to acknowledge that the only reason she got Highway after a pretty horrible debut is because her mentor vouched for her, which again only happened b/c of her association with her famous father, speaks to her ignorance/ refusal to believe.I'm not even in the industry but I'd be so peeved with all these star kids making statements like this. Like just accept that you're a product of nepotism. And on a different note, I think it's also this factor that makes other outsiders stories more amazing. Considering the odds they had to overcome to reach their current positions is so admirable (talking about SRK and KR).
