Such hardwork to flip through pages and pages of ready-made Dharma scripts specifically written with you in mind, getting the most grand debut possible with zero looks/X factor, failing miserably in this grand debut yet getting rewarded for the horrendous act with the opportunity to work with Imtiaz Ali--> being touted as the Meryl Streep of India/greatest actress to walk on the face of Earth. Uff, what a difficult journey of struggle, failure and discreditation 😭My heart aches for her.

I really don't like Alia. Is she hard working...? Well, isn't every actor and actress who wants to make it big? Is she talent...? Only compared to the wooden models we are so used to! I think there are plenty of talent and better looking outsiders just waiting to prove their worth but, will they get it, no!
Of course she gets films mostly for Karan not necessarily because of her name. I mean, who cares about the Bhutts!?
SOTY just looked terrible. I watched her in 2 States and found her so damn annoying. I can't imagine her other films. Just admit that Karan has basically adopted you and you accept all his offers and backing.

he is how I see it yes star kids get multiple chances and get a great start but that isn't what keeps them there! its their talent if not abhishek and tusshaar Kapoor and Iesha and the deols will still be there, it's the people who reject or accept a star kid, and that's because of the brand of their parents attached to them , until the people realize this one isn't talented till then a wise business man would go for someone with brand value the name brand we all do it. don't we pick up a Heinz ketchup or kelloggs before trying out a no name brand, so if Heinz makes something else we would be willing to try that first before a no name brand. same goes for this star kids like when abhishek was debuting, the hype was Amitabh bachchan's son. it will never end! even the so called self made srk and akki willl do the same for their kids and I won't fault them and if I was a producer I will also take someone with a brand name value before trying out someone new, it sucks but thats like until the audience stop being star driven then no one should complain about nepotism. why are people already going on and on about navya nanda and jhanvi kapoor on Instagram ? do you know navya has a fan page someone opened up? and this is the girl that hasn't even made mention if she wasn't to be in Bollywood, so as a producer it is smart business to cast her if she decides to!

exactly and does she know that if an average middle class girl ask her parents that she wants to try her luck in bollywood, her request will be turned down in 9 out of 10 cases. She will be bombed with questions like who will give you chance! We don't know anyone there. These people don't mingle with us common folks. You have to beg from door to door for atlest a couple of years and throughout these period you need take proper care of yourself. You need to turn up well dressed with proper makeup and all at every meeting of yours. Now thats a lot of money for maintaining yourself. Then you need a roof over your head and food for survival and Mumbai is pretty costly city. And after doing all these there is no guarantee that you will ever make it. Alia is good no doubt but she should thank her stars every morning. She was so so bad in soty that i doubt any director would have cast her after that if she wasn't so blatantly forced on directors by kjo. And don't say craps like kjo did great service to Indian film industry by backing the most talented alia bhat. Hello film industry would not loose anything significant if alia bhat had not existed. Pls.

Well at least star kids get an opportunity with their first movie but there are so many out there who doesn't even get a singe chance. Not everyone is SRK or Akshay Kumar. Just saying

Alia , You were horrible in SOTY , the same year all other newcomers were better Illeana,Huma, Yami ..But you only got A list directors , and all of them got bad roles or small roles . Now if you were so bad , what they saw in you that you got big role?SOTY did not show any promise ...

While I agree she makes a cute pair with Varun the truth is she has no clue what is nepotism. Would a director like Imtiaz give a lead role in his film to someone who performed as badly as she did in SOTY? He didnt even give a second look at Nargis who was as bad as her in Rockstar.
