Agree with this. It is sexism and the fact that our female audience on average lacks purchasing power.

Personally, I don't think only good-looking people should act but when there is such clear discrimination against good-looking guys just 'cause the audience is insecure of them, then I have to point it out.

I also feel a lot of these BW actresses date these actors only 'cause of their position in society. These men get the pick of these good-looking women 'cause society gives them certain privileges.

That's how the system works.

Beautiful female actors flourish and are forgiven for their lack of acting talent but not so much the good-looking guys.

I remember going on this Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 video and some of the guys were complaining that the guys were too 'studly' and should have been more average-looking. I was like, you are not complaining the women are too hot, are you? 😉

May be cos most of them suck and if looks is the only basis the likes of Nawazuddin shouldn't even come onscreen

Darker does not mean not good-looking. Sendhil Ramamurthy is dishy.

I do think there are more good-looking guys but they don't get a lot of opportunities. They are trying to break through but find it hard to do so since the industry is patriarchal. Only the sons get to carry the legacy forward so, the male outsiders find it tough to make it big.

Unfair to us women. We want good looking men. Popular actresses who get big films from reputed studios are all pretty girls.



We are stuck with Ranveer and Arjun who are not lookers and get lead parts from biggies YRF and SLB but these bigwigs never give talented and charming Kalki, Radhika or Richa lead parts like them.



Sexism is when people like Arjun and Ranveer are said to be accepted because talent but above three won't for talent. For women beautiful or sexy, a must.

As if Katrina, Deepika, Jackie and Shraddha are brilliant actresses. 😆



They are more famous for looks than talent. Some of them still cannot act but we are kinder to pretty girls and ugly boys.

Exactly . Arjun Rampal and John has gotten more opportunities than Irfan khan etc only cos of their looks
