i totally agree with Mallika...
i just could not connect with amar-taran and amar becos shekhar and shekhar-taran totally dominated the entire film...there is no connection b/w amar-taran...its bland...except for one part...becos that part of teri fariyaad is played on shekhar-taran...all others can't even connect with taran-amar...its bland...i would have prefered the entire song played on shekhar-taran...their emotions were bang on...
in the end...shekhar chooses amar for her and went away...when their relationship did not execute well and they end up with each other...thats funny...i still don't understand how much they love each other...why they love each other...nothing...very bland and plain...amar character doesn't have the spark nor charm unlike prequel's amar
whereas shekhar's character is powerful...overshadowed everything...even shekhar-taran relationship seems more stronger than amar-taran...this is the reason why the ending is stupid and clearly makes me feel taran loved shekhar(well she did)...she should end up with him...there is more depth in shekhar-taran relationship rather tham amar-taran...
AS made changes to the ending...so that it doesn't become TB 1 but i wish he did not change the ending...he should let it remain as shekhar-taran union...
the story is abt shekhar-taran...amar is a bad twist in TB 2...
i disagree on certain parts...taran did not fall in love with shekhar with the idea of falling in love...she falls in love with him in real...she began breathing and wanted to move on in life...wanted to live in her present not past...amar came and complicated things for her
no matter how much shekhar shout at his voice...she loves amar more than anything...more than anyone...sorry i don't buy it...its only makes me feels...he did the right to unite amar-taran becos of his guilt...even in TB 1 if amar was alive...shekhar would have unite amar-piya and leaves...its the guilt that makes him hear and do the right...not his heart...
i really can't connect with amar-taran...no depth in their relationship...a few tears won't make a connect how much they love each other...there should be a depth in a relationship
the depth of relationship...i saw in shekhar-taran relationship...the connection i saw in shekhar-taran relationship...the ending just screwed it up...
even till the end...the lady is bloody confused whom she loves...she hugs amar but crying for shekhar...what she wants in her life...she doesn't know herself...when shekhar tells her abt amar...she is just plain confused and started thinking is it true...did i really was broken and died million deaths when i told amar abt shekhar...and shekhar went on...she just kept quiet...her silence was enough to let shekhar go...she is confused...very confused...till the end...
the fact after telling amar...she never felt that way at all...if it would be shown...it make sense...she was more concern abt shekhar...his indifferent behaviour towards her...
the only person i really had tears for is shekhar...his emotions...his pain...his anguish...his guilt...penance was shown with depth and connection...i had tears in all his drunk scenes especially the part after taran gives him back the watch and he was drunk...tears flows down his eyes...he truly loved her...he could not forget her thus he tried to find solace in alcohol...but that too never helps...he was burning inside...his love for taran...his guilt for amar...aditya nailed it...shekhar is a beautiful characterisation in both Tum Bin...it mades me feel if amar was back in TB 1...Prishekhar would have been equally suffering like Adishekhar did...
