I completely agree...the 2nd half was boring...
ending was disaster...
the worst is its a remake of a old story keeping a 2nd script on mind when prequel was made...nothing new...
if it was new story...it might have worked...
its a bad idea of remaking the same story...
as for songs...i did like the song and aditya as shekhar...he played it well

a potentially good film got ruined due to remaking of its prequel...which doesn't make sense in this story...

I thought it was a new story after watching it...i felt so disappointed...

its the same amar-piya-shekhar situation of prequel in form of shekhar-taran-amar with a different illogical climax...the ending was torture...

Also whats the point of making a remake if you cant make it better
Tum bim was popular apart from its music bcz of simplicity and relatable actors, characters
For instance look at this scene ,the remake one fails completely in front if it

@sherlockholmes...i totally agree...TB 1 was very simple and more connected and also the cinematography was not given too much importance at that time...its the audience eyes which caught the cinematography...the focus is more on the story...characters and the narrative...
but in TB 2...its all more confusing...too much importance given to cinematography...the rest is just confusing as hell...there is no proper explanation to anything...taran unites with amar in the end but its a shekhar-taran love story...she loves both men with equal depth of her feelings...like seriously which women in the world will do that...even EK leading ladies if stuck in a love triangle they know whom they love...there is no bonding b/w amar-taran...placements of scenes are weird...climax and ending is even more weird...she loves shekhar and wants to be with him...suddenly it becomes amar with no proper explanation...it should be a reunion of first love...but it seems to be sacrifice of love of a guilt ridden guy...i feel for shekhar but could not feel anything for the entire film...even Teri Fariyaad is playing on random scenes...the only one i could connect was "mujhse kuch teri nazar pooch rahi ho jaise"...in TB 1 it plays on shekhar--piya...especially on shekhar...it should have been the same play on shekhar...the song belongs to him...its playing on amar too that takes away the magic of the song...could not relate it with amar...aashim killed the essence of 'woh nazar chupke mujhe dekh rahi ho jaise'

the only part i like is shekhar's bonding with papaji and the sisters trio...the rest i could not even relate with...i love the sisters bonding too as thats how i bond with my cousin sisters...i love shekhar's character in TB 2...aditya nails it...shekhar's character in TB 2 is more complicated than our simple and sweet shekhar in TB 1...there were lots of shades and layers in Adishekhar...i could connect with him...the rest nothing i could connect with

nothing was relatable...though i like it due to shekhar...but as a whole film its bad...AS did not concentrate on the story...narrative and scenes...he just made the film richer than TB 1...thats it...

the dialogues were weird...especially in the climax(airport scene)

in the end...taran still loves both men...no elaboration and firmness in her character...her character is weird...she is with amar...she runs to shekhar...she is with shekhar...she runs to amar...her character is very annoying...

on 2nd thought...if this script was made on priyanshu-sandali-raqesh with amar coming back concept in TB 1...with no himanshu as abhigyan...Prishekhar would have done the same...uniting amar with piya and he leaves canada loving piya all his life...shekhar always been selfless...he cares abt others first and he was guilt ridden...he can't be selfish to snatch away amar's happiness whom is piya...he would have unite piya with amar and leaves...and we all know piya loved amar more than her life through her tears...her longing...her yearning...that would be the most proper ending though yes i would have cried for Prishekhar...but it would have been relatable...piya belongs to him by soul but in reality she belongs to amar...piya would have been in the same dilemma...torn b/w two men...torn b/w her past and present...the story would have been told in a relatable and simple way if 15 yrs back...this script was given to TB 1...

another reason somehow...the current gen would not relate what we saw 15 yrs back...i mean if TB 2 is being made with same priyanshu-sandali-raqesh-himanshu...it would not have worked at this era...where romantic films has been fading away...it was a bad idea to remake the 15 yrs back story...for this gen...

my 15 yrs old cousin change the koi fariyaad song to kala chasma...saying koi fariyaad is boring...i am sure if i have shown her Tum Bin 1...she would have say the same thing...the film is boring...generation change...they have a different mindset now...

gosh i just hate the climax and ending of TB 2...its weird...real weird...she loves shekhar than suddenly in the end chooses amar...like its real weird...in the end she still love both men...
