wat he means is that he has agreed for his pay to be reduced for padmavati and gone into profit sharing for the film, he even did the same for BM, so instead of going into the details of who is getting paid more this is how he choice to answer, even wen deepika gets asked this questions she never directly says that she is paid more for it

plus slb is the one who asked for his pay to be reduced to support the budget, and this is the second time ranveer has agreed to do that, many other actors wud not agree and wud want thier full pay even before they start filming

To hell with the equality crap.You get what u deserve.

If he is going for profit sharing,than its money in the bank only if it turns out to be a profitable venture.Padukone already charged her upfront acting fee.We don't know how much ranveer is gonna make or his percentage from the profit.It was nice professional statement.

Film is about chittor ki rani padmavati and ruler khiljis obsession with her.So the leads are right there.
