She was superb in NH10 and while I used to dislike her earlier, I like her as an actress now. She definitely underrated and a much better actress that Deepika.

Observer: Totally agree with you about DP-AS. DP has shown an earnestness that translates into her work, a desire to experiment.. Even if AS has done the same, her work just all looks the same, imo. I started off liking AS's work because who even took DP seriously as an actor, but the amount & the way she's improved these past couple of years starting from Cocktail--- Have to give it to her!!! She's obviously not in Kangana's league but it's pretty laughable to count AS & DP in the same league. DP left AS in the dust a long time back. Waiting to see if AS can catch up.

Highly overrated.

I seriously feel BBB was owned by Ranveer. He was the only costar with whom she ever had a chemistry. NH10 was definitely a kickass movie but again, it was the same old loud role, just the opposite of her regular bubbly roles. So I don't understand the hoopla around her "acting skills". If you have acting talent, it shows in EVERY film, not just once in a blue moon. 😆 You just have to watch BV and "girls like to swing" to see how bad she was. PC ate her alive just in 15 seconds of her performance. 😆😆

At best she can be called passable.

& she doesn't have that star quality either. Deeps, Kat, PC, Alia, heck even Sonam has that.

she isn't the most articulate in interviews coz she has already said many times that she has anxiety issues n takes medication for it. Even ranbir said jokingly in Koel's interview that anushka has to pop a few pills before giving an interview coz she gets anxious n nervous

as for the rest of ur post..it made me laugh..why waste so much energy hating over an actress...go n wait for Padmaavati to release..Anyways Anushka's KWK episode with ranveer was years ago, but his fans can't seem to get over it... she has her own personal equation with him... who knows how he treated her offscreen for her to not have that much respect for him back then... coz she has never disrespected ranbir in any interview...or virat also... but anushka n ranveer seem to be fine now...they always give each other a big hug n meet warmly if they see each other now...

yehhh everyone is wayyy behind queen DP... thats why she no longer has to do any hindi films. when is her next hindi movie? 2018?? can't wait for padmavati after seeing Mastani 😆

She is a decent actor at best in age of mediocre actress

Between Deepika and Anu. I guess it's an effort versus natural ability. Deepika is very pretty. Saw commercial success earlier. Due to that got great scripts and gAve them her best. When I watch on screen who do I still find more effortless. Anushka ! I agree she has been typecast. When you get typecast it can also be due to the scripts available to you. I am defending her acting not personality.

I am not "un-necessarily hating" on AS, the topic being so, I am only sharing my POV with a like-minded member. I've always found AS & PCJr, totally over-rated but bringing in PCJr repeatedly in a topic about AS, now that is un-necessary. I know she suffers from anxiety, keeping that in mind, I plain dislike her public persona, usually.

Maybe because I am not a rabid fan, I don't take such likes/dislikes personally so DP might even be a hand-maiden, but she's still a better actress than AS, till now. Waiting for ADHM now.

For the record- Totally agree with you that DP was a damp squib in BM. She was absolutely exquisite to look at but I couldn't connect to the Baaji-Mastani love story either maybe b/c of DP. RS & PC were a treat to watch. Again, not a fan of DP, AS so it makes no difference to me.

I wouldn't say she's overrated but she's quite limited. There's a lot that she can't do.

As for ADHM, she's acting really well in it but Ash'a screen presence is just so magnetic that you just want to look at her!
