the word like "rape " was casually used among college students,sad indeed but that's true...so if u go by the context then u could see wht Hirani was trying to do (portray college life)...

Rancho was right in giving message to the theatre audience and his friend Raju (on rote learning) but uska tareeka galat tha...

yeah I agree that's wrong...maybe Hirani should have come up with an alternative scene to make his point...
