i am a pakistani residing abroad

so i wasn't there when it released

but our government is a big airhead who ban every single thing over pettiest of things ignoring the other much bigger issues country has to focus on

I thought it was a light hearted Indo Pak story.

Anyways, read somewhere that they show Qaid wrongly or something. Or maybe they made some joke😕

I don't know if this has been noticed or not. But, Aish's character holds a UK passport. Butt yeah, her roots are from Pakistan

As long as KJO doesn't make a whole deal about the Indian-Pakistan thing and it's just integrated into the story, I hope it doesn't catch too much attention.

The more worrying part for me is if the half-sister angle is true because that's a bit incestuous. But, I doubt KJO is crazy enough to go with that.

We can never understand why Pakistan bans certain movies. What is the criteria for ban? I understand why movies like phantom were banned. I am surprised that K&S was not banned. Of course I am happy it was not, but showing Fawad playing a gay was a big risk.

No movie is banned without a reason in Pakistan.. There is always a reason for it.. You might not agree to the reason but there is always one

As for ADHM, I don't think it will be banned until and unless they have made fun of the country like they did in HBJ

I bet 5 bucks on this movie not only running into trouble in Pakistan but also in India and some States going extra length to ban it from screening in their sectors. They wouldnt even wait to see the content of the actual movie but most likely jump the gun to appease the right wingers and go on blanket ban spree.

This is inevitable. They will use the Pakistani angle to put down ADHM, labeling it as anti national. Its already started. Clash will get uglier by the time Diwali comes.

Shivaay will be touted to be a religious film, Ajay has drawn parallels of his onscreen character to Lord Shiva...which is actually blasphemous but it might work for its target audience.

Currently, some cunning filmmakers are using religious or patriotic sentiments to make their movies successful. It seems to be working.

BTW, Ayan and Alizeh living in are not as lovers living together, they were merely sharing a flat in London, not as lovers but as friends.

Alizeh loved Ali, another Pakistani so that angle is taken care of. But of course Saba is also there so ...

And yes, the movie will face backlash, some factions will diss the movie as it has 3 Pakistani main characters.

Yet they didnt have any problem with BB half of which was shot in Pakistan with 2 main characters as Pakistanis, Munni and Nawaz...but of course that was movie of an actor who is favored by the ruling party so no problems there.🥱

But ADHM will face backlash...also because of the clash with Shivaay. Probably thats why plot has been leaked, to damage the chances of ADHM.

And Dangal will also face backlash, guaranteed!

I dont think they will ban it in Pakistan as long as nothing objectionable is there.

Pak people - How much money or business does any hit Indian movie makes? I don't think it makes huge difference to the final total. 10 cr se zyda contribution Nai hota hoga? For any Hit movie?

@ Pallavi - it's always a risk when you put Pak story and people in Indian movie. KJo should've known better . If it becomes National Vs Anti national, ADHM will be guaranteed flop
