Watched the movie and then read the real case. I can't agree with both the results and the climax of Rustom, though it was different than the real case, it still did not make me feel it was right. Akshay did a great job but Ileana was a bit let down. Court room scenes at times were interesting while other times they were hell boring.

I have always been very fascinated with the Nanawati case and had read up a lot on it long before I heard about Rustom.

I was naturally excited about the movie, however as is the case usually about books being better than the movies made on them, the movie didn't match whatever I had read on the case and hence envisioned.

My mom enjoyed it so it's safe to say that my having read up on it influenced me adversely.

Akki looks GREAT for his age.He really does.Ileana looked Gorgeous with a capital G. All she did in the movie other than looking FAB was CRY. She cried and cried and cried and cried some more.

The other actress was SO lame.The character was so poorly written and executed.She looked flawless but the overacting...ugh!

A one time watch.

**The court scenes were particularly abysmal.They made a mockery of what had happened and that took away so much from what could have been.

Alright.. I am confused. Why did the jury declare him 'not guilty'?I mean I didn't see anything for him to get my sympathy. He was not attacked. His wife was not a child to be led astray. The jury doesn't know about the scam and takes Akshay's side only because the dead guy was a flirt? If there was a mention that the jury was filled with his caste/religion, I would have understood.

I guess I was expecting something along the lines of the Nanavati case but other than take inspiration from the murder and the 3 key characters' involvement, the story went somewhere else. I wonder when an Indian film maker will have the ability to make a true account in an interesting fashion because the real story is much more gripping.

They let him go on account of self defense.

Okay I haven't read about Nanavati case before and have seen Rustom. I recently came to know about case and will search and read about it now.

Hence, I enjoyed the movie thoroughly. I liked Akshay in some movies like Aitraaz, Airlift and now in Rustom.



The movie keeps the suspence till the end as Akshay killed Vikram and it was not in self defense. What we see in first scene is completely different from what is revealed later on by Rustom to CID officer.

However what is that Two news shown in end credits? What about Aviation scam and those corrupt officers? Can some one answer?

I enjoyed funny scenes of Jamnabai and Paperwala.

Overall a nice movie. Akshay did good job. Its Akshay Movie!! Ileana just cried and nothing more. Such a disappointment. She smiled in few scenes and dialogue delivery was nice.
All others did fabulous job.

saw it a few days back...would call this film as a missed opportunity...this film would have been so good had it been well edited and backed with some better writing... felt that the courtroom drama was stretched and lacked the thrill element...music aint good...but nevertheless it was entertaining at parts...
