Alright.. I am confused. Why did the jury declare him 'not guilty'?I mean I didn't see anything for him to get my sympathy. He was not attacked. His wife was not a child to be led astray. The jury doesn't know about the scam and takes Akshay's side only because the dead guy was a flirt? If there was a mention that the jury was filled with his caste/religion, I would have understood.

I guess I was expecting something along the lines of the Nanavati case but other than take inspiration from the murder and the 3 key characters' involvement, the story went somewhere else. I wonder when an Indian film maker will have the ability to make a true account in an interesting fashion because the real story is much more gripping.

Finally watched Rustom yesterday and its such an enjoyable film...first half as the story build up is decent..Akki in uniform is treat to eye..both ladies looked beautiful...Illena acted well but Esha was nothing much..2nd half was the heart of the Rustom..not a single boring moment..funny oneliners,newspaper guy and the boy who was selling them,judge,sachin,Rustom's maid were very good...but its an out and out Akki movoe and he was extraordinary..i guess Akki is soo pro in such roles now he can play them in his sleep.. 😳

Overall its a good movie..dont have much production value..i can see why critics rated it low..its does have the zing of baby and airlift too..but still its very much watchable..its good too see a crime thriller doing so well after ages..Akkis hard work and good will are working finally..As a fan there is nothing more exciting than that 👏 ⭐️

I normally don't see Akshay movies in the theatres that much. I wanted to see Hrithik's latest release instead but stayed away because of the bad reviews. I live in California, so was quite surprised to see a lot of Americans in the hall for Akshay's movie. But the hall was only half full because perhaps the main audience came in the first weekend. Rustom is quite the surprise. 😲😊 I loved the concept and Akshay was awesome as the naval officer who is on trial for the murder of his wife's lover. He is very restrained, no overacting or hamming! 👏 But we see how Cynthia (played by Ileana) was tricked by Vikram's sister and himself. What happened to Illeana? Is this the same girl from Barfi?! 😭 She looked fat and acting was flat. And first time I have seen Esha Gupta. 😳 She was hot as Vikram's sister. But no acting ability. The heroines don't have much to do in the movie. It is Akshay's show all the way. Neeraj Pandey has directed a good film for the most part. Supporting cast was awesome. A very engaging thriller! Akshay will be getting some best actor nominations next year. Airlift, Housefull, Rustom. Good variety this year! Kudos to him for doing some interesting scripts. Rustom gets *** 1/2 stars from me! ⭐️
