Why should DP even take up such weak characters where men are idolized and women are shown only as housewives after marriage?

Aarfa was not shown as a 'housewife' and she was far from being a 'weak' character. She continues wrestling even after marriage. She does not QUIT rather chooses to give birth to her child. The only other choice was to abort the child which she clearly dint want to do. How does that make her regressive? Even if i was in her place, i'd have given birth to the child and got back later to what i was doing earlier. All of us who are working women do that right? Having said that, i also agree that its an individual choice at the end of the day. To each his own. N again, even after all the drama, she is shown to be training the other kids. And in the end, she does get back to wrestling.
