The thing is, male ego is a terrible one.. Sooner or later, Husbands do feel insecure if their wife fares better than them.. Unfair? Most certainly but that is how it is.. And then the wife is required to compromise and hold herself back because she wants her husband to take the center stage.. That is indeed the harsh reality.. People hail Abhi because it is not common for a husband to be comfortable letting his wife take the stage

But still Abhi takes the cake in this dept. And other times he is hailed coz he doesn't mind his wife being more famous. But no one would say, Anu is great coz she doesn't mind Virat being more successful. Coz that's norm. Reverse is not.

PS - moreover. Ash is not so very successful recently. Her movies are failing. 😆 but that's for another debate.

Anu doesn't have to face that but everyone (including me when he was being all awesome in the IPL😆) thinks she is lucky to have him..What if it is the other way round? World's best batsman does not equate to world's best boyfriend..Abhishek may not be successful but he may be a great husband for all we know..Unfortunately nothing speaks like success..We can appreciate Arjun in Ki & Ka but if a guy actually did that in reality, we'd scoff at the couple..Some things look good only in films i guess 😆

Remember one thing, no matter what they say on internet about equality and other stuff, in real life, its hard to be a happy couple if your husband is less successful than you. Period.

Male ego is wicked and monsterous

But I know a guy who is not egoistic. And pretty happy showing it off.

In fact my Dad has happily showed his entire life that my Mom has more degrees than him.

So you are right. But there are exceptions. It depends on person to person at the end. Moreover, I have seen that more than males, females have this competition about whose husband is more successful. 😆

There is nothing wrong in wanting a man your equal however you define it, be it looks, money, education, family. YMMV. 😊

Ash is having a good life. Her husband is decent by apparent industry stds , she has a strong bond with her family.Does her own thing and a brand name family. And is it too hard to imagine love between them?😆 Woman has freedom, respect and love.Success too.And media buzz 😆

Feelings are mutual..I hate her too 😆 I swear i jinx couples..I don ship anyone anymore but the couples i shipped never got together while the ones i hate end up marrying and making a dozen babies 😆 SRK-Kajol, Leo-Kate, Ryan-Rachel, Ryan-Eva, RF-Mirka, Ranbir-Katrina ( yeah i still don think they have broken up😆)..I should try reverse psychology or something 🤣

Abhi is an exception whichever you look at it. And seems like a very very nice guy esp for BW. Honestly when all these people keep talking about how Ash married him... Are you freakish kidding me?!? They all were running after him to marry him for his brand value but also because he's one of the very very very few nice ones. Very respectful & extremely well-brought up. Personality trumps education & success any-day. Everything isn't about success, absolutely, but 11/10 for these worlds, IT IS. Hence the total surprise. Hope they're truly happy & continue being so even if things don't look as they used to.

@bold - I have been saying this all along. Yup. That one.

PS- though I know there was a case like this. Couple came in Satyamev Jayate. Truly that uncle was too good. Nothing bothered him. He was happy cooking for his wife & kids.

Have seen guys in real life too who take pride in their partner's success. Some even take career backseat to let the wives go for the glory. But then I read a piece of Indrani Nooyi about her mom and it was interesting.Give it a read.

These celebs should learn from Lin Manuel Miranda ..he legit fangushes about his wife so much. Who has more degrees than him . Even though he himself is a genius but he is adorable about hi wife.😆

@Roger - Have shipped almost all the couples you mentioned. I hate you for jinxing them.
