wow
what arrogance

going by the stats kangu darling..you are not even in top 10 of ormax..and even other sites have barely called you no. 1..that spot is with deepika and you may hate the sound of it but that is the truth

while your achievements are spectacular..you make other actresses sound like asin

no way did they not show any growth

deepika has not always been no.1 ..she climbed up the ladder with successful movies and also improved her acting a lot..watch her go from a desi boys to cocktail..piku etc

a bit of humility actually does not hurt

But maybe now the males from the industry will think twice before engaging in an affair with her 😆

She wasn't the directors and producers' first choice (Katrina, Priyanka and Kareena were still ruling) but she was easily in the top 5 to 10. Add to this that it was at the time Preity and Rani's career were starting to dive and Aishwarya had gotten married.

Just because she debuted in OSO and has been in a high profile relationship with Ranbir, her success means nothing...But since Kangana did not get anyone to cast her in their A-list projects and since she could only manage affairs with the likes of Pancholis, her success is equivalent to hard work and growth? No wonder you don't find her putting down other actresses as offensive...

I think her fee for endorsements and movies might also be indicator that she's one of the top heroines now.

Which A-lister director is she working with? Other than the so called niche' cinema, tell me which director is willing to cast her in an out and out commercial cinema? Like I said, she is at most a Shabana Azmi ( I am being really generous here, for KR is yet to do even a percentage of the body of word that Shabana has)of this generation...Lots of critical acclaim and National awards with zero commercial viability...

And I don't understand why she is so full of herself when most of the roles she played so far are all somewhat similar roles...Where is the variety in the characters that she chooses...Most of them seem to be taken from the same book...

So considering that Deepika had A-list affairs, Kangna thought she has to forget the Z-Grade Father pancholi ( her first Bollywood love ) & C-grade Suman son and eye the A-list superstar Hrithik, so that people stop calling her B-list. But unfortunately, Deepika still wins this no matter how many national awards Kangu gets, be it in terms of endorsements , films, popularity or even high profile affairs Deepika beats kangu's ass every single time.

Lastly, it's easy and convenient to say that actresses don't need big actors to survive but how many actresses survive in the long run without big films and male actors favoring them ? This is Bollywood for gods sake, that too were women have a low shelf life. History is evident that how since decades , be it Mashubala, Nargis, Hema, Rekha, Sridevi, Madhiri, Kajol, Kareena, Katrina and now Deepika are all favorites of all time not because they worked in national award winning films but because they stayed relevant due to their big contacts and ability to survive with the conniving and dominating make brigade and yeah all these actresses had high profile affairs with big male stars too.

If kangna can survive then it's good otherwise it's a stretch when people say that she doesn't need big stars and big films , and no she's not the top heroine, Deepika, Katrina and Kareena still beats her.

Now people are busy dissecting the grades of the movies wow !

Anyways, Gangster was definitely a B-Grade movie like I consider Sanam Re to be a B-Grade movie.. It's not always on Budget, else Neerja would not be called as a A-Grade movie.. The simple way to put it is - would a Top BW actress, Rani, Preity, Aish, Kareena would do a Gangster with Imran Hasmi and Bhatt Prod ? There we get the answer, and if you still don't get it, leave it sistahs !

And for the Commercial Success - Both Queen and TWMR proved that she is a bankable actress in terms of BO too.. Compare the BO success with any female dominated movie if you want to evaluate commercial success !! How hard is it to understand that her journey was really inspiring being an outsider, being mocked for her poor grip on spoken english, not getting to work with any Khan or A-Lister actors.. Still she made it to the Top.. Deepika comes close to the competition, but the fact can never be changed that Deepika got to debut with the King Khan of the then and had it big.. so did Anushka.. So what Kangu claims here is 100% true..

I am okay as long as she talks about her own journey and is proud about it...Heck, even I am proud of her for making it this far considering how she started...But my problem is when she compares herself to the other actresses and undermines their growth...Its not rocket science to understand that its very very difficult for an outsider to get into Bollywood and that too reach the top...So what Deepika got a dream launchpad...Do you think Farah Khan just went to Deepika's home and woke her up one fine morning and offered the role in OSO?

A commercial movie is a commercial movie...Why should we compare with only the female dominated movies? Why not compare them with the biggest commercial movies of the respective years?

If you find her story inspiring, someone else with find Deepika, Anushka or some other star's story as inspiring...

No matter what it is...what Kangana said here reeks of jealousy and spiteful nature which is what is off putting about her...

I have never implied that Deepika's success didn't mean anything. I putting forward the reasons why according to me Deepika and Kangna's journey in Bollywood couldn't be compared. Yeah, she's like Kangna an outsider but her struggle didn't lay in this.
Though she had flops at one point, she still got chosen to star in movies alongside big names.
The fact that she debuted with SRK ensured that she was considered A list from the get go and her relationship with Ranbir Kapoor gave her coverage. While Kangna who got unanimous acclaim for her debut wasn't even considered to star in movies with big names.

Vishal Bardwaj with whom she's doing Rangoon is an A list director, so is Nikhil Advani. She starred in 2 ads directed by Rajkumar Hirani...

Queen : commercial success ; TWMR : commercial success... still not bankable enough? Also, she's to star in Rani of Jhansi which should be a big budgeted movie (here it's not the outcome I'm pointing out but the fact that her name is now enough to raise more funds for a movie) Note that people are more and more attracted to content-driven movies and that critical acclaim and box office success are compatible.

So if I understand well, her character in Queen was taken from the same book from the one in Revolver Rani? The character she played in OUATIM was from the same book than the one in Tezz? The Kangna you saw in Gangster was the same than the one you saw in Katti Batti or in the TWM franchise?

@mali89: That's why I said 'most' of her roles...Yes with a little variation here and there, she plays characters of somewhat similar traits...I have seen her in Queen, Gangster,Who Lamhe, Fashion, Katti Batti and TWMR...In all these, except in Queen, she plays very similar characters like as if they were an extension of each other...
Anyways, the bottom line for me is not how much successful someone is...I want to know how they behave when they get to the top...How they respect other people who have become successful...Because only those who are successful know that the journey to the top is not simple and easy no matter which way you take to go there...If you forget where you came from, very soon you will go back to that place...By repeatedly undermining her contemporaries and their growth, she is only exposing her own sad mindset...No matter how much her fans love her for speaking her mind and not 'sugar quoting' even if it reeks of jealousy and self pity, I personally cannot like her for putting other people down...
