Sanjay Mishra has once again drawn attention with his latest release Vadh 2, which recently hit screens with Neena Gupta. In a recent interaction, Mishra shared a deeply emotional memory linked to his late father, offering a rare glimpse into his vulnerable side.

During a conversation with Shubhankar Mishra, the actor spoke about a phase when grief completely overtook him. Struggling to cope with the loss, he admitted that he made an impulsive decision while under the influence. Recalling the moment, he said, “I was drunk, and I asked my driver to take me to the place where my father‘s last rites were performed.”

What followed was an experience that left a lasting impact on him. At the cremation ground, Mishra found himself overwhelmed by emotion and unable to control his actions. He revealed, “I went to the Ghat and there was a pyre burning of someone else, I rubbed the ash from that pyre all over my body and started calling out to my father. But people kept asking for selfies, even when I had smeared ash all over me.”

The emotional episode did not end there. When he returned home, his in laws were present, making the situation even more awkward. Describing his father in law’s reaction, Mishra shared, “When I came home, my father-in-law saw me with ash all over me… and he saw the future of his daughter. I touched his feet, and my driver quickly took me to another bathroom and made me wash myself. I was very emotional. I cried a lot for my father at the ghat.”

Apart from this incident, the actor also reflected on his childhood and his father’s constant worries about his education. Mishra admitted that he was never academically inclined and often avoided studies, which made his father anxious about his future.

Sharing one such memory, he said, “My father used to be very tensed about my future, he had requested me that ‘Sanjay, please clear 10 Standard. I can employ you as a watchman in my office’.”
