Kangana Ranaut learns sword fighting

While director Vishal Bhardwaj and his wife Rekha are off to New York to settle their son Aasmaan in film school, back home Kangana Ranaut is busy learning horse riding and sword fighting for her next project with Vishal, Rangoon.

A source says that the film is a passionate love story set in the backdrop of World War II. Shooting will begin in September, as soon as Vishal returns to Mumbai.

Adds the source, "A one-month long shoot will be finished with Kangana in Mumbai before Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan join the team and the unit moves to Arunachal Pradesh for the second schedule in October."

There is nothing bad between Shahid and me, no matter how much people want: Saif Ali Khan

Mumbai: The camaraderie they shared on a reality TV show recently may have left media abuzz but Saif Ali Khan says he and Shahid Kapoor have always been cordial with each other. The "Phantom" star said he and Shahid, who previously dated Kareena Kapoor, would have never agreed to work together if they had any issues.

"Why should there be any enmity between me and Shahid? There is so much going on, people trying to sell anything...As far as I am concerned, we really don't have any issues. He has always been very decent. And why wouldn't he be? And so am I. There is nothing bad between us no matter how much people want," Saif told PTI.

Both the actors will be sharing the screen space together in Vishal Bhardwaj's 1940-set drama "Rangoon", which also stars Kangana Ranaut. "If we have any issue, we (Shahid and I) would have not signed a film together," he said.

Saif, who is yet to begin shooting for the film, said he has attended the fitting sessions so far. "I am very impressed with the way Dolly aunty (Dolly Ahluwalia) has designed my costume. It's a period drama, so the costumes are also very different," he said.

This is the second time Saif is teaming up with Vishal after "Omkara", where he received a lot of acclaim for his role as Langda Tyagi.

Shahid Kapoor is Soldier in Rangoon, Saif his Mentor - Kangana Ranaut

I play a larger than life glamorous actress from 1940's in Rangoon, Shahid Kapoor will be seen as a Solider while Saif Ali Khan will be a mentor confirms Kangana Ranaut.

In an interview with us for the promotions of Katti Batti, when asked to speak about Rangoon, Kangana Ranaut said-

"It is set in world war 2 era and i play an actress in the film. There are some amazing idea's for my look and but obvious it will be a vintage kind of look. My character is a larger than life star of 1940's so it will be a very glamorous look. Yes i think Saif is playing a mentor and Shahid Kapoor will be seen as a solider but i am again not too sure about the same."

The movie directed by Vishal Bhardwaj will go on floor in November this year.

Rangoon' Shooting Starts in November - Saif Ali Khan

Saif Ali Khan confirms that he has not yet signed Salman Khan's Jugalbandi; Reveals that Rangoon goes on floors in November this year with Shahid Kapoor.
Celebrating the success of Phantom ,Saif Ali Khan in an exclusive interview with us when asked to speak about Rangoon and Jugalbandi, he said-
"After Phantom I have signed only one film and that is Rangoon. The film is a period film set in World War 2 era. We start shooting for Rangoon from November this year. The only thing i am supposed to do for my character in Rangoon is look good."
Phantom is a relief for Saif Ali Khan who was passing through a rough phase in his career and the success of Phantom has brought him back on track. With Rangoon, the actor is expecting yet another hard hitting film which gets lots of love and support from the audiences.
