Dil Dhadakne Do First Weekend Business

Dil Dhadakne Do had a first weekend of 36 crore nett. Its a pretty good weekend considering that the film is mainly collection in just 5-6 cities. The trend was also pretty good with a 20% increase on Saturday and 17% on Sunday. The Saturday growth of 20% could gave been better but 17% on Sunday is good for this type of film as does not have mass support.

The first day was 10 crore nett, second day was 12 crore nett and third day will come in at around 14 crore nett. The best collections in in Mumbai city followed by Delhi NCR and then followed by Bangalore and Pune. Kolkata and Chadigarh have also done well. But other major centres like Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Indore, Surat are not so good.

The Monday business will be all important as the film will need a 55 crore nett first week as there is competition in week two with Hamari Adhuri Kahani and Hollywood release Jurassic World. Although neither film is looking at a huge opening they will take up screens space especially at multiplexes and that is basically where Dil Dhadakne Do is collecting.

Sunday hasn't shown much growth. Even on book my show, the movie has opened to 65% favourable reviews which is a pretty average number. If they made the movie for a small set of audience then they should have kept the budget low.

1st Weekend Box Office Collection Of DIL DHADAKANE DO

Film has total of37.05 cr nett in three days and this is a decent total as film needs now super solid weekdays in order to make an impact. Urban film should not drop more than 25% otherwise it will find difficult from here onwards for good lifetime total.
DIL DHADAKANE DO Had Decent Weekend

This year rustic and ''desi'' films like ''NH 10'', ''Badlapur'', ''Dum Laga Ke Haisha'', ''Piku'' and ''Tanu Weds Manu Returns'' worked big time at box office. Now ''Dil Dhadakane Do'' is the biggest urban release of 2015 and it has potential to cross 100 cr nett if content gets appreciation similar to ''Zindagi Na Milegi Doobara'', last Zoya Akhtar film.

DDD released in 2300 screens yesterday and film is targeted towards multiplex and urban markets. Film took a decent start in Mumbai, Bangalore and Pune but was weak in territories like Rajasthan, CP and CI. Film was supposed to grow for sure from evening onwards but film remained just good over weekend due to poor show outside metro.

Film collected 10.53 cr nett on day one which was good but was little below expectations. Film was expected to jump big in the region of 40-50% but it grew around 25% with 12.27 cr nett on Saturday. Film collected 14.25 cr nett on Sunday with again marginal growth.
