Deepika's naina or Kangna's Rani? - Page 2

Well written character was definitely Kangana's Rani. Deepika's Naina was poorly developed when exactly does she turn into a social person? Does love change her overnight? Or does taking off glasses just transform you from Geek to socialite? What changed about her personality anyway besides she had found a few friends? While Rani's journey to unsure shy and meek girl to a confident young lady who realizes she had become too dependent on the wrong guy was depicted clearly. In her journey they show her slowly learning how to interact with others, forming strong bonds, experiencing things she had never experienced before like dancing in clubs, developing self-confidence through the cooking contest win, and learning how to become self-sufficient. They also showed the contrast of her explorations with her previous restraint life with her controlling boyfriend which clearly showed how she had become so meek in the first place.

Naina character was so cheesy/unreal and on top of it DP ki pathetic acting lol ...spare me the horror !

well both the films had pretty much same characterisation for the females. both the characters went through transitions..
Just because Queen won a na it does not mean it was flawless. I found kangna and the film pretty overrated. I am sure there are many people like me.
so just chill n let people have their opinions.

I find Queen just a youth version of EV.

But if you're comparing with YJHD, then obviously Kangana in Queen is better.

Better written character rani over Naina anyday 😆 Like someone mentioned above the transition of rani was fantastic! It wasn't drastic and more inner than the outer look. Rani changed,became confident but though all of that still staying close to what she was before. Naina,we all know what the change was ; from glasses to hot bikini ghagra 😲

About acting, also here Kangana hands down; to take on Rani's mannerisms, her style so well was amazing <3 While Naina was nothing out of the box I don't think we can compare. Also I don't like deepika's dialouge delivery except in films where she has to put Indian accents (like piku, CE) other than that usually I dislike the squeaky voice :|

Rani.
She was more realistic and relatable. Kangana was so perfect. Even the way she spoke, I would never want a girl with low self esteem like Rani to recite all dialogues by hearted. I don't know about Kangana's dialogue delivery in other movies but it definitely worked well in Queen.
Her personality change was amazing and empowering whereas Naina, she was an introvert then an extrovert and a mix of both in the end. Confusing and unrealistic!

I think it is unfair to compare Naina and Rani. Naina was one of the main character in Yjhd, a shy, hesitant girl who was forced to lead a boring life ,meanwhile Rani was the only main character of the movie queen, a beautifully written character ,the film's main focus was Rani's gradual change from a shy, not so confident girl to a girl with self respect and confidence.The characterisation was perfect, one of the well written character while Naina's character was ordinary with lots of flaws.

Never got the hype for YJHD..it was a pathetic movie mainly coz the characters were so half baked. Naina suffers coz of a weak character sketch
