PK is expected to collect around 16-17 crore nett collection on 9th day (2nd Saturday) at box office from early trends. Film has shown good jump today in the region of 15-20% from 2nd Friday as early samples are coming in. Thus, PK two day total for 2nd weekend should be around 30-31+ crore nett mark. These are early estimates and actual will vary depending on how late night shows performed for the day and also how major single screens performed for the day. Overall number should be in that region. This means if film picks up even further then there is absolute chance that PK will collect 20 crore nett or more on 2nd Sunday and 50 crore nett or more in second weekend. Numbers are huge even if we consider the fact that many biggies have failed to collect this much in first weekend itself. PK is not only setting benchmark at box office, but also totally re-writing it.

PK has collected 197+ crore nett in first 8 days. Business after 9 days will be around 213-214 crore nett and thus, crossing Happy New Year and 3 Idiots lifetime business in 9 days flat. There is every possibility that PK next target will be Kick which numbers should be crossed as early as by the end of 2nd Sunday looking at the current trending. Thus, PK will officially be the Highest grosser of the year and that also in 10 days flat. Also, PK is already a big Blockbuster with such monumental business at box office and has been 2nd film to do so after Kick.

1st Week - 182.95 crore nett.
2nd Weekend (Friday + Saturday) - 30-31+ crore nett [expected].

Total - 213-214 crore nett [approx].

PK 2nd Saturday - 9th Day Box Office collections - Enters 200 cr Club


PK 9th day 2nd Week Saturday Box
Office collection is 16-16.5 cr taking the 9 days total collections to 213 cr.

Day 9 business has seen a 10 - 15 % growth from second Friday and the movie is all set for a 50 cr second weekend. PK remained extremely
steady in mass belts whereas showed good growth in multiplexes. Tomorrow should be big especially in multiplexes and the movie has a strong chances of touch 20 cr mark which is extraordinary. The movie is all set to have a record second weekend and week and it will beat the record of Dhoom 3 by a very big margin.

The movie has shown fantastic occupancy even on its eight and ninth day and the these two days are better than the first day Friday and Saturday collections of 95 % of Bollywood films released this year. Pk 2nd Friday is less than the first Friday of Happy New Year, PK, Kick, Bang Bang, Gunday and might come go ahead of Holiday too.
