Beauty is great to look at. But if I am paying money to watch someone act, I'd rather they ACT, not look wooden and beautiful. My favorite is Kajol who is no beauty by any means, but she acted well.

There are pretty girls like Yami,Illeana,Diana Penty etc in this gen too,just that we dont get to see them often onscreen

Alia is like PZ and Parineeti like Rani...Its just that an Aish or Sonali Bendre is missing from the list of most popular commercial BW actresses..but hey we still have DP,Kat,Sonam etc..their time isnt over yet..When they phase out,hope there will be better replacements to up the glam and hotness quotient in movies.

I dont agree with the whole outsiders being oh so beautiful compared to star kids..I for one find Kirti Sanon very average looking face wise..Crooked nose and very manly..Just that she got a hot bod and good skin tone..Shradha and Alia have much better striking attractive face compared to her..I think Sonakshi is more beautiful than Huma Qureshi..I dont see anything special abt Huma's facial feautures..Sonakshi has that old world charm and softness in eyes.

Also , Bips is considered really really beautiful here though in India the conservative standards of beauty have always undermined her appearance compared to other actresses. In fact the funny part is , other countries other than India do not find Kareena Kapoor good looking at all...sirf fair skin aur unnatural light eyes se koi beautiful yaa attractive nahi ho jaata like it is in our country, conveniently. In our country it is almost like no matter how small the eyes , big the nose , weird the jawline, as long as you have light skin you are automatically accepted. It is just so hypocritical and convenient. I am from kolkata , hell , I personally have never been considered attractive in my surroundings that included school and my home , but funnily the minute I got to US , I am considered this really good looking girl which is kind of a cultural shock for me , for the reason I am saying that the standards and views of beauty are so diverse and different all over the world , I don't know how can we pick and choose and label someone attractive.
