In Deepika's case, I didn't find anything impressing with OSO, but now I love her as an actress.

Today, Deepika has leaped miles ahead of Anushka. Anushka seemed to disappear for a while while Deepika bagged the films. Now we'll see Anush back in films, so let's see whether she's the same actress who was amazing in her initial days.

In terms of success and fame, yes. But acting-wise, not so much IMO. I still think Anushka is a much better actress than Deepika. I feel like since Anushka hasn't really done anything that screams versatility, she hasn't had the chance to really prove what she's capable of. I hope that changes with PK, BV and DDD.

Even though Anushka hasn't done as many films as Deepika, I still think Anushka acted much better in all her 7 films than Deepika did in her first 11-12 films (until Cocktail happened). I'm a huge fan of Anushka's acting skills, man. She's the best out of the newer generation.
Yes, she hasn't done a lot of versatile roles but whatever role was given to her, she's done them so well, especially BBB, RNBDJ, JTHJ, LVRB and even MKBKM.

I'm glad that Anushka has such a good lineup of films. Hirani, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap. This makes up for the lack of variety and mistakes she's done before.

Just goes to show, it's all about the role not whether it's an ATBB.. BBB made more money than LVRB and Anu had so much presence/spunk/actress-star combo in BBB, some amazing shots of her in Baari Barsi song alone.. but slowly that impact depreciated with whatever she has followed up with up so far.

Oops, yeah that's what I intended to post as it proves my point on LVRB doing zilch for her; saw an interview of Ranveer who mentioned only good things came from LVRB but it fell short of people's expectations after BBB.

Anushka is a much more natural actress than DP. Her screen presence and energy on screen is amazing. She just stuck to YRF too much and fell behind because of it.

Only reason ppl were interested in Deepika more than Anu was because Deepika was dating Ranbir. It was actually Anu who gave 2 great performances in the beginning of her career: her first film and BBB. Deepika didn't have anything great after OSO. Even in OSO she was nothing but a pretty face..sorry honest opinion. It's only the past 2 years she started delivering hits and good performances. Other than that she was in the news for her relationships. Even Anu talked about how she's not famous for her boyfriends (dig at Deepika) or her fashionista tag (Sonam). She was right.

Anushka is a stronger and more natural actress compared to Deepika. Especially her line delivery is amazing, while DP's is horrible. Sadly, Anushka hasn't been doing anything great in the past couple of years, but I think this year and next year is going to completely belong to her! Deepika improved tremendously, but she's still not that great.

Her contract with YRF never allowed her to go out and accept challanging roles But she is natural actress while deepika is still not near anushka acting wise. Quantity wise anushka was in contract with YRF and deepika was free so ofcourse deepika is a winner. Quality wise anushka's film > deepika's film. She was best thing in JTHJ and only worth watching.

But after JHJH anushka dispeared coz of not any new release but deepika knows how to be in news without film release. She always stay in news when there is no film release coz of dhoni, yuvraj, ranbir, tatoo, never ending break up stories, sid mallya, digs at kat, ranveer, visit during condom ads and many more. There r special news segment on deepika and her boyfriends. That is not case with anushka.

Frankly speaking, Anu might not be as lucky with her options, but she is so much more enjoyable on screen than DPad. Only character I really enjoyed from DPad is the one in Chennai Express, otherwise she's one of the pretty faces, definitely striking on screen, but I relate so much better with Anu as an actor. She might have issues with her looks and all, again who knows, but for me she's gorgeous and very natural whether it's her looks or her acting. Hopefully with BV and PK, she starts getting more offers which she deserves, unless it's her conscious decision to be the female Aamir 😆 But still, I would like to see her at least once or twice a year. It's been forever since her last project...
