Ranbir Kapoor to play a teenager in Jagga Jasoos

Ranbir Kapoor, 32, will apparently play a 19-year-old in Jagga Jasoos.

A source revealed, "For the portions that have been shot so far, Ranbir will be seen playing a teenager, while co-star Katrina Kaif, 30, will be seen portraying a 22-year-old girl in the film. Their makeup and look has been designed as per the role requirement."

Anurag always comes up with something fantastic, love the worlds he creates.

Both ranbir and katrina's characters sounds very exciting and I love the idea that they communicate through songs.

Ranbir and Katrina spotted at the Bangkok airport

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif are spending Diwali in Thailand mixing work with pleasure.

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif's holidays always grab headlines. It's either leaked sbapshots on the beach or reports of a big fight. The couple touched down in Bangkok yesterday to flag off the next schedule of Anurag Basu's Jagga Jasoos.

Mirror has learnt that the lovebirds will be staying in the picturesque town of Pai which is around 500 kilometres away from the Thai capital.

"It's a 20-day schedule. They will wrap up by the second week of November after which Ranbir returns to the city to shoot for Roy and Katrina kickstarts Fitoor.

Anurag hopes to finish a major chunk of the film in Thailand which is a completely different setting from Cape Town where they had filmed in June.

This means that Ranbir and Katrina will be celebrating Diwali in Pai this year which isn't such a bad deal given that they will at least be together and away from prying eyes and wagging tongues, " says a source close to the couple.

Jagga Jasoos is a story of an 18-year-old boy slueth in search for his missing father. The film is looking for a May release.

Hope they stop extending the schedule date and this time actually continue shooting...

Katrina Kaif who started shooting for the second schedule of Anurag Basu's Jagga Jasoos last week, says that she is not playing a 22-year-old in the film as reported. "I also read that, but there is no age of any of the characters in the film. I think because people don't know what the movie is about, there's a lot of speculation. Also, Ranbir's (Kapoor) character is only a detective of sorts. He's not a detective in the traditional sense. When you see the film you will understand. Anurag Basu's worlds are very different and you cannot classify them. He creates a world and a vision which is very unique and people are gripped by it because his emotions are so strong," said Kaif, adding that the film is a musical in the traditional sense of the word.
Meanwhile, the actress is revelling under the stupendous success of her just released Bang Bang which has raked in Rs.250 crore worldwide in just one week. Another blockbuster in her resume is her last release Dhoom 3 which was the first Indian film to gross over 500 crore!

The soundtrack is composed by Pritam. In a recent interview Pritam has confirmed that he has composed two romantic tracks for the film. He has also clarified that the whole soundtrack will consist of overall 9 songs as the film is a musical fare.
