I didn't quite understand Heer and Jordan's love story. Their lovestory had no passion whatsoever yet it inspired Jordan to become the "rockstar" he was? I expected way more from the script and even the characterizations. Nargis was flat out horrendous and unbearable as Heer. I have no idea what made Imtiaz choose her out of all people. Ranbir was perfect for Jordan. He carried the entire film on his shoulders and with whatever he was given..he completely transitioned effortlessly into his character. Without Ranbir and the music, this film had absolutely nothing going for itself.

no it's not on netflix. I saw hasee toh phasee last night actually..on this website sominaltv or so..the quality was just okay. You should definitely watch Rockstar solely for Ranbir's performance though.

Yea. She was offered ileana's role. Probably didn't want to share screen space with PC. Anyways, glad because Illeana did brilliantly. She was the narrator so it wouldn't have been the same with Kat.

The love story was that Jordan and Heer both loved each other, but because of tradition and society (Heer s marriage + Jordan s career and concerts, etc.), they couldnt get together. Jordan and Heer were both meant to be together, but their surroundings didnt let them be together. This is why they were both in pain. Also, this is why Jordan was angry against the society. He didnt care about the law, media,... That anger and pain made Jordan a rockstar.

They picked Narges because her real life personality matches Heer s personality. She has that innocent, clean, beautiful face, but on the inside, she is dirty, fun, ''ghetto''..

Great acting.. specially by ranbir..

great music.. composing and songs..

story could have been better.. overall, the movie run on ranbir kapoor.. his best performance for me.. even better than barfi...

the confusing part was the ending.. which symbolised that the girl died..and the guy will die too from hatrate and possibilly alcahol..and that is when the world will let them be together peacefully..

The story could have been better if it was the guy loving the girl.. and girl not caring about him.. which turned him in to alcaholic and hater..

I guess the editing was quite confusing to some people because even my friend was bugging me in between the movie by asking about every scene! 😆

But I totally loved Rockstar! ❤️ Its one of the most awesome movies I've watched and probably the best of Ranbir followed by WUS, Barfi and Raajneeti. 😳 What I loved the most about this movie was the message given out there... <33 The songs were mind-blowing. <3 Especially Nadaan Parindey.. Had beautiful and so meaningful lyrics. <33
