Ajay Devgn is generating buzz with the upcoming Son of Sardaar 2. This sequel to the 2012 hit, directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, sees Devgn reprising his role as Jassi Randhawa. The film promises a blend of comedy and drama, featuring a cast that includes Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, and Neeru Bajwa.
Son of Sardaar 2, starring Ajay Devgn, opened with Rs 6.75 crore, according to Sacnilk. This debut was notably less than the original's Rs 10.80 crore. Despite Devgn's star power and a broad release, the sequel struggled to draw large audiences. In comparison, Devgn's earlier 2025 release, "Raid 2," had a stronger opening of Rs 19.25 crore, boosted by a national holiday and a 34% occupancy rate, eventually surpassing Rs 100 crore in its first week.
Son of Sardaar 2 features Ajay Devgn reprising his role as Jassi, with Mrunal Thakur as the female lead. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora in his Bollywood debut, the film boasts a large ensemble cast. This includes Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Neeru Bajwa, Deepak Dobriyal, Kubbra Sait, Chunky Panday, Vindu Dara Singh, and Sharat Saxena. The late Mukul Dev also makes a posthumous appearance, alongside Ashwini Kalsekar and Sahil Mehta in key roles.

Son of Sardaar 2 isn't here to redefine cinema. It's here to make you laugh, cheer, all while asking you to turn your brain off at the door. It may not break new ground, and some jokes do fall flat, but when it works, it really works. The characters are endearing, the humour is relentless, and the chaos is crafted with just the right dose of heart. If you're a fan of desi comedies that go all out, think overacting, dancing mafias, fake fathers, and secret affairs all under one roof, this one's your jam. A full-throttle Punjabi circus with a Scottish backdrop. Watch it for Ajay Devgn's comic charm, Mrunal's spark, and a wedding you won't forget soon.
