I watched the movie recently and I thought it was awesome. It was original, passed a great message on our society, great music and memorable acting by Ranbir.

In one of the thread in here, i saw that many people didnt get the movie. What parts of the movie people didnt get?

it was boring as hell and it went back and forth and was so hard to keep track of what was happening

I actually liked the movie .. I also liked Nargis .. she acted well for a newcomer with no clue about BW.

I loved the film. Film had a few flaws and I do believe love story would have had a better effect with a heroine who could emote. Ranbir was totally immersed into Jordan where as Nargis kept reminding me here and then that it's a film due to her acting. But i could find a connect with the film and such movies stay close to me. The hospital scene where Ranbir breaks down to Khatana Bhai saying he doesn't want to become big, and his heart shouldn't break was really moving. Reminded me success and fame comes with a price that is your freedom and he was yearning to go back to where he started when he had nothing but had peace.

I guess I just found it boring, it was also a bit predictable coz when nargis's character said she was sick I knew exactly how the movie was going to end.

it wasn't horrible, but for me its a one time watch.

Ranbir acted very well, but nargis was lacking.

I just feel sometimes rockstar is ranbir katrina story . Thats the reason imtiyaz wanted to cast katrina in it. It was inspired from rk n kk real life story . Even katrina has low hemoglobin problem , some say its endomitress but according to official announcement its low hemoglobin . And right now windoww seat imtiyaz has written deepika in mind thats the reason he dint take katrina for it.

why didn't Katrina do the movie?
