TV shows and TV actors?

OK I know this is a very random topic, but I have been on IF for around 4 years now and I don't watch TV much, except for Bigg Boss, so am not a fan of any TV actors or shows. Also dis forum I seldom visit, but I have noticed most ppl have a very condescending attitude towards TV actors/ stars and tend to really mock the actors, until dey make an impression in BW. Case in point - Sushant Singh Rajput, who I remember being bashed and his fans being mocked, but after he did a Kio Po Che and became a mainstream BW actor, ppl r much more respectful towards him here on dis forum.

So is this some kind of a feudal mind set tht small screen actors aren't worth it, unless dey make it into BW or something? No offense, just trying to figure out Y dis discrimination.😳

Well TV actors are not the ones who are mocked, the most bashed actor on IF is none other than Katrina followed by Salman. In comparison to BW stars, note that TV stars are less popular. BW is big budget and more viewers, the stakes are far higher here . Many TV have wooden expressions and pathetic dialogue delivery. They are tolerated for their looks and just because its TV. Such actors would not get a chance in BW. They would go into oblivion.

Agree dat Kat and Salman maybe the most bashed actors on this forum, but dey r still considered part of the supposedly elite grp of BW stars, whereas TV actors r mocked on flimsy ground and dat could be coz of the blind fan following that dey somehow command, which many on BW forum can't relate to. Maybe.😳

See many TV stars are not good actors -their dialogue delivery and expressions leave a lot to be desired. They are Wooden.

Besides the story line in TV is still ignoramus and provincial. All stories have one theme husband and wife and how a third person is trying to create a rift? 🤢🤢 Do people in real life have nothing else to do or think other than doing this? BW stories are getting more creative and fresh new concepts are being churned out. Many debatable concepts have also found way. Budgets are smaller, viewers are mostly women and the TVT measuring sample is abysmally low. Till these things change TV would remain secondary.

I don't know how much you have been around this forum But SSR is Bashed left,right and centre here.

He was second last behind Aayushman in worst newcomer poll just done over talentless hacks like sid mal , varun dhawan😆

Sushant is still mocked on a lot, in fact I have noticed he is bashed more NOW rather than earlier 😆. Earlier he was kind of like the 'underdog', the outsider trying to make it, so he got a little bit of support. Now he is bashed nicely and openly like everyone else, or maybe more. 😆

Whether TV actors are bashed or not depends on which actor it is. Some actors are bashed horribly but some are also praised. But then, the golden rule of BW forum is 'every actor is bashed here', so yeah. 😆

But yes, from what I have seen in my participation in BW forum in the past one year, fans of TV actors are mocked A LOT. It is assumed and remarked often that fans of TV actors are idiots and fanbots who worship the group the actor walks on and get into fights when people criticise their favourite. But this is done even by the fans of BW celebs- I have seen much much worse fights in this section. Ugly PMs and name calling are part of this section just like other TV forums. I have even seen fans of BW actors abusing journalists on twitter. So how fans of BW celebs become 'better fans' than those of TV actors is something I haven't been able to figure out till now.

BTW who is Nia? And why is she a catalyst?

If an actor is good then he/she will be appreciated whatever be the medium-TV or BW. If you are referring to fan groups then that depends on the members of the group and I will not blame the star as they have nothing to do with it.
