I wouldn't say Zombie flicks and other genres aren't popular in India given that Hollywood releases their movies first in India then abroad bcoz they know how big the Indian market has become since sometime. 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, Dawn of the Dead etc. have been successful in India. But I don't think Indians like the Indianised version of such genres too much. lol.

The problem is the audience themselves are so skeptical that they rarely give such films a chance.

Even before the film released all I saw on twitter was, "Ye toh flop film hoyigi"

Plus, the target audience being the MTV generation, you release it on a day when that audience has Star Trek, Gippi, Iron Man, and Gatsby to choose from, not to mention an already doing well Ashiqui and Shootout.

But its still sustaining well. WOM is positive, it should do average.

Okay...do people expect a multiplex Zombie to collect more than 12 crores on opening weakend????

What is the standard here?? Movie is made with budget of 16 crores...

Movie will collect atleast 50 crores..overseas combined and satelite...

That is how these kind of movie works...appeals to niche targetted audience...and then make sizeable profit...

Do you expect it to work like rowdy rathore which has audience in every nook and corner of India...you go to a small town..and Go Goa gone will be playing with 3 people ...

standards by which we measure box office success should change with the intended target audience of the movie...

On the insistence of a friend I watched the movie online last night and it was totally worth it!

The dialogues are very good, especially Khemu's! Soha's little appearance was quite tongue in cheek as well, along with the expressions of the actors. Saif's look annoyed me but the role was pretty decent.

Quite a funny movie! A must watch in my opinion if you're looking to relax after a long day/week!

Exactly hangover , transformers , superhero films aren't path breaking films but they earn money in Hollywood more than the "niche" films

Than y only Indian audience is considered having low standard ?

Why'd you watch it online!? Omg, you should've enjoyed yourself more and gone out to the theaters with your friends. This movie needs support, coz its people like us that are the target audience. 😊

Especially with so much stiff competition from Star Trek, Iron Man, Gatsby, Ashiqui...audiences are completely split.

Just got back. If you like zombie flicks at all this one is way worth watching! Laughed a LOT! And I am not in any way shape or form young!

I may be biased since I love zombie movies, but I thought it was pretty good. I especially enjoyed the faux-romantic zombie chase near the end, truly an original Bollywood contribution to an (almost!) overworked genre. Loved Saif Ali Khan, but the most of the second lead performances were quite good too.
