Viveik Oberoi was once seen as actor with potential. COMPANY, SAATHIYA, YUVA, MASTI, KAAL and a Subhash Ghai film (KISNA) were some of the films that the actor once had. Some of them were successful.
Things changed drastically though. HOME DELIVERY, PYARE MOHAN, OMKARA, NAKSHA, MISSION ISTANBUL, KURBAAN, PRINCE, KISMAT LOVE PAISA DILLI...flop after flop after flop!
His next film, JAYANTA BHAI KI LUV STORY releases this week. The funny thing is, Viveik and Neha Sharma (leading actress in the film) have been promoting the film has if they have made the next SHOLAY (seriously, you guys should check out their interviews and see how over-excited and over-the-top they seem!). Reality can be quite harsh though. Honestly, JAYANTA BHAI KI LUV STORY, from the look and promos seems similar to KISMAT LOVE PAISA DILLI, Viveik's box office disaster that released before this film.
Neha and Viveik have been talking about how Viveik's character in this film is a mix of his characters from COMPANY and SAATHIYA. However, the thing is, those 2 films came 11 years ago, and at the time Viveik was seen as a guy with potential. Not anymore.
My Box Office Predictions for Jayanta Bhai Ki Luv Story:
Opening Day: 3 crores net
Opening Weekend: 10 crores net
Lifetime: 20 crores net
Overall Box Office Verdict: Flop
Well, atleast Viveik has KRISHH 3 later this year.
As for Neha Sharma, well, she is hot, and hopefully she will find success in her other films.
